This film needs to be shown in every single school. Poor Charlie all that upset for being different. And yet we are ALL DIFFERENT. A powerful film. I his should be shown on TV AS well. I want to know what happened to the bullies. I hope they have been locked up and the key thrown away. They should be made to right the wrong they did. Repair all the damage they did, to Charlie's house. Compensation paid to him. And then be locked up!!
A powerful film that left me in the verge of tears and feeling very angry about disability hate crime. I hope this film recieves more awareness and attention because I think it definitely should! - Ranjita aka ChocolatesandPasta
I go to school with special kids. my parents thought I was Artistic but It turns out I'm ADHD and something else but I can't remember th name. It makes me not able to control my emotions
This video is a good example of disability hate crime awareness so if you or someone you know is being bullied Because of their disability Please encourage them to talk don't let them suffer in silence.😀
+Katharine Salte I imagined things like this happening, but the abusers would be more crafty. I have mild Aspergers and but growing up I've been bullied. But now I'm more confident, I know the signs of abuse and I know how to get help. That helped me, when I was scared and alone. I live with my siblings now, but I know I have the capability to live on my own if I choose and that's a wonderful gift.
Two important things I took away from this film. First, Tom's explanation of their mum's despair over why other people can't be more accepting. Second, the entire last monologue of the film. It's strange how others view those labeled / diagnosed with Autism. In many respects, I think "autism" is the wrong word. I think the more appropriate term is "authentic". Charlie is much more aware of who he is (his identity) than most people. Good film.

I faked me life before that..lol.. then it hit me everyone going feel what I feel blind deaf,, cripple what ever life hurts me on daily bases I just happen to be born with first you all will be bitch about it later... Great movie and beautiful message, people who don't bear malice toward anybody, good people. We have a lot to learn from them.
What's happening to Charlie was all the fears, I felt when I first moved out. I was 25.
I'm so glad I'm able to articulate my fears and frustrations.
