@@jali276 My M3 sent a diagnostic to Tesla that the oil pump was in need of replacing. After two oil pumps were installed, the same alert came on in the car. The last item determined to need replacing was the drive inverter. All those faults came before the car had been driven 160 miles. The experience of needing defective part replacement was remarkably worse than the joy associated with purchase and waiting for delivery. I question the pressure from selling cars faster than they can produce them, the emphasis on the Tesla app to arrange service (and that being only available on a tablet or phone) and the thoroughness of quality control from both the assembly plant and distribution center. Despite my misgivings (and the poor ranking in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study), Tesla is the best car currently available.
@@garybean2205 thanks for that reply hopefully your M3 gets repaired with no other new issues. Their delivery process is all over the place with giving this window of time that keeps changing. The other day I received an email that told me they wanted me to process payment to prepare for delivery and then a few hours later sent a retraction email saying it was sent in error 🤔. I am still excited about my MY but this process needs some tightening up for better customer experience!
