Thanks Mike. Those DBs seem pretty resilient. Once I found it largely complete and able to roll over I was confident. Just very fortunate that the roof collapsed where it did. A bit further back and it was totalled.

@@davesworkshop2714 I love old tractors simple to repair for the most part. Have been about to get 99% of the ones I worked on going again. The only one I couldn’t was a Ford gasoline tractor had spark and gas but it would never fire even with starting fluid which is very weird timing was good fuel in carb it would turn over and smoke but no run still bugs me after20 years

@@mikeboring1293 been there with some old gassers (petrols as we call them here) in the past. Some are really stubborn and it takes very little to upset them. I think the biggest struggles I've had were one of my Rover V8s, my detroit 6V92T and the combine. There's an old E27N gas/tvo tractor in the shed id love to start, but it's missing a lot of parts.

Dave, years ago when a ford's on major wouldn't start, no ether at hand, we used lighting paper and put it on the air intake, turned the key/lever, and it started, it warmed the fuel, love your videos, no gloves, on at all, will eventually destroy your hands, Michael, Ireland [Eire]

I think that ya should try to air up the tires. Unblock the rear tires., or some people call them tires & rims. AKA wheels to Dave. Awesome job I love knowing that there's still other people out there that care about trying to revive.& Recover old types of vehicles.&etc. That needs to be saved from the outside elements.,or nature will take it over faster than some folks would want to believe that it would.,or could do such A type of thing as we'll to. I say go for it on that tractor.& The other right behind it to.

I had no doubt the old 990 would fire up, fantastic tractors.
I spread lime & slag on the fields for a contractor back in the mid 70s, he had both the 990 & 996, hated the 996 but loved the 990.
The Fordson will be a lot more agro I'm sure, never liked that petrol/TVO engine, we dumped it out & fitted a Perkins P6 into ours from an old Seddon truck, fabulous engines.
