Is there any air in the pump because a broken spring in an injector or sticking injector can cause this from compression in a cylinder pushing back through the injector

I would do willie but the clutch is gone and she's half split unfortunately. I'll have to carry on and do it the hard way 🙂
David brown tractors need heater plug’s working winter and summer. Get a blow lamp and send a flame up manifold when trying to start
The owner did tell me it was really hard to start. I'm getting a compression tester and testing the injectors next weekend hopefully. I'll try the torch on it then to get it to fire up. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
@@davesworkshop2714 it’s imperative that heater plugs are working then they will start on a couple of turns of the engine
U need more speed turning over and pre heat
You weren’t lying this one is a bugger
It's a disaster. But I'm going to take your advice and do a compression test and go from there. Thought anything would fire on either
Awesome content brother I love anything to do with engines and messing with them, and get them working again, my dad was half Irish love the accent do u mind me asking what part of island u are from that being said see u in your next video and have a great week.
Looks like it has been well neglected in the past that oil in the sump looked like tar shame.
It certainly does have the look of a machine that's hard a hard life! Can't believe it made oil pressure if I'm honest!
Compression test first indeed. Then we'll talk further. 😉
🙂👍 will do! Must order a test kit. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Def needs heat
Are you sure you are spraying it into the air intake....the easy start made no effort
100%, I even removed the air pipes so I was hitting the inlet manifold directly. It make a few minor attempts. I'm surprised too, thought it would light off on that.
I’ve got 4 990,s 2 will bleed up and start the other 2 will not start. Give them a tow and they will start in a yard. Failing that give them a slight whiff of Easy Start. Your 1394 isn’t turning over fast enough to start. That’s a great example to every tractor owner to drop your sump off, you will be surprised what you find in there.
Thanks David. I did a compression test in the next video and it was away down. I stripped it and found rings stuck and valves not seating. I've done some headwork and fitted new rings, going back together thos coming weekend hopefully! The sumps are so easy to drop on the DBs it really makes sense. Thanks for watching 👍
Don't think you found the kill switch
😅😅😅
Heat it
and another thing we used to do is put diesel in intake and light it
Get a flame going in there? I'm willing to try that. Thanks again.
That's an awful lot of water 🫢
There was water everywhere except the cooling system!!
😅😅😅
you can't win them all Dave
Thanks Martin, think I'll give it another go though 😀
Give it 24v
Would it be best to give the starter 24V and the solenoid 12V or would it manage the 24V too on the coil windings? I've never tried it before. Thanks!
@@davesworkshop2714 it be ok just 2get it 2go. it will spin alot faster and hopefully start .take all wires of starter for alternator and dash as it might blow bulbs and alternator.
@@adrianblakely8803 thanks Adrian, I have the full loom disconnected anyhow, it was pretty mangled.
Take off and nuke the site from orbit…. It’s the only way to be sure…. (Ellen ripley from aliens)

Jeepers you are a sucker for punishment I would have scrapped her for parts 😊😅
Thats how she'll end up Kenneth, I just want to start her as a challenge 🙂👍. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Ah very good
Keep it up 👍
@@kennethhudson9568 will do Kenneth 🙂👍
The ring’s ar froze let it sit for a week white wd40
Ill give it a try. I did soak it, but maybe not long enough. Thanks for watching
@@davesworkshop2714 if it runs let it run hot enough then the will come lose
@@ferdystrik4629 will do 👍
start it with 24volts and hope when it warms up the rings break loose
I'm certainly open to giving that a go. Thanks again for your advice 🙂👍
I think it's dead 😮
I was thinking the same Richard, but curiosity and pride is getting the better of me...time for a compression test, faster starter, and much, much more either 😂👌
@@davesworkshop2714 good luck with it Dave 🙄
Perhaps some tvo in the mix would help 🤔
@@richardmorgan5785 tiny bit of petrol in the diesel?
@@davesworkshop2714 tractor vaporizing oil / you probably know it as kerosene mix as used in pre diesel tractors .
Had a uncle who put some in his old deutz tractor years ago apparently it ran with more hp but not really recommended 😱
@@richardmorgan5785 thanks. I think a lot of TVO owners now use kero with a small quantity of petrol in it. The kero alone might be enough. Certainly worth a try.
