Really good pre inspection instructions for any brand. This would save a lot of customer complaints with used tractors, too.

I grew up on an all red tractor farm. Always thought IH were the best. Then I worked on a farm with 2 David Brown's and realized they were better. No idea why they didn't keep this tractor line after the merger ? The first generation Maxxums were an awesome tractor too .

We just got a 1694 on our farm. I have no experience on IH's but our farm has a history of having Fiat's and Ford's, and I must say that they're built better than the DB/Case we just got.

6 hours on the clock, would have been nice to see that tractor in that condition today.

Im 30 now, I grew up in the east coast where we had a great case dealer. My father and our neighbor ran case because it was convient and those cases were very reliable. I remember a few 4490s that were tan

Big mistake dropping the crab steer tractors. They haven't been made for 30 years and you still see them working today. Not that Stieger are bad they're a good tractor too but I think they should have kept the availability of the crab steer tractors.

I can't engage the PTO in my 1494 Case Tractor

pull up hand clutch engage pto slowly release hand clutch

engage the PTO whilst the engine is not running and then start the engine with it engaged and the PTO clutch in the open position. The PTO clutch is renowned for sticking on these, this usually gets them to unstick.
