  • This is how I clean and block my knits with wet blocking! The first wash is super important for shaping your knitwear because this is the first time the fibers really get set into their shape. For subsequent washes, I shape the finished piece into its general shape, but pinning isn't always necessary; it's usually dependent on the piece.
The full pattern and tutorial for this cardigan is on the way!
To wash chenille yarns, blocking isn't necessary, but if you use a chenille yarn similar to the Bernat Yarn I used in a previous video, I usually put my finished piece into a pillowcase/Guppyfriend bag and tie it off before washing it in the washer on a delicate cycle. (Placing it in a bag filters some micro plastics from getting into the water system) I lay it flat in a wet ventilated place to dry.
