Dolby Atmos soundbar of 11.1.4 ch. Total power 616W. Subwoofer power 160W. Wireless surround speakers 210W.
There are two HDMI (eARC), one optical and one ΗDMI out.

You would think that with the acquisition of Harman(JBL) that they would at least use drivers of same quality of what's in JBL's portable Bluetooth line for the ellipticals and maybe some passive radiators
I learned two things from this video. It has pretty decent build quality and deep unboxing means a complete tear down.
e: I would suspect, that the foam insulation is there to keep the bar structure from resonating in unison with certain frequencies and thus making the sound more clear and pure.

Am so grateful to you to show us the inside of samsung HW-Q950A, please how do i get the power supply of this units mine got fried by bad electricity current. i hope you revert back to me as soon as possible. thanks
I think it will be hard to repair the power supply. Better to consult an electronics technician or Samsung. But it's easy to remove the screws on the back of the soundbar.

8k tv just a waste a money. eyes cannot see diference 4k vs 8k from 2meters

Did you manage to open the rear surround speakers on your Q950A? A standout feature of this model is the side firing speakers on the rear speakers, that is supposed to make surround sound even better vs the Q950T. Very interested to how Samsung intends for these side firing speakers to bounce off the walls and work on a similar rectangular box.

Do you know a lot about circuit boards? If so, could you do a video showing where you could wire a subwoofer out port to on the subwoofer circuit board? I'd like to tap into it to send the signal before amplification to another external subwoofer.

Thanks for the video .. is the digital audio port secure? What happened was I inserted it without taking the plastic head off .. and I pushed in a few times before I removed it and then is fine .. so by doing that will I push lose the port? Thanks

The display is exactly the same as on the Q950T

Thanks for the video. How do you know for sure it is HDMI 2.1? Would you be able to test it to see if you can get 4K 120Hz VRR with Atmos?

@@hxosplus most manufactors say they're soundbar have 2.1 but in most case its only 2.0. Please check it out!

@@hxosplus How did you determine they are not 2.1? If they are not HDMI 2.1, then you need to add that to the description of the video because IN the video you say they are. Not everyone reads ALL the comments. Are you sure they are not 2.1?

Does the LPCM work on it? Currently if I play a movie that has a LPCM track it doesn’t work and converts to 2 channel. Also if I connect my Apple TV to the tv Atmos doesn’t via eArc

@@kurtpunzet5871 try install the newest firmware the realeased 2-3 weeks ago and solves the issue with the lpcm! Also I think is better to connect the Apple TV 4K directly to the soundbar. Try this ok
If you have the lg c9 you should change the settings in the tv sound to pass through in order the sound to pass to the soundbar through the tv!!
I have the B9. I think the LPCM issue lies with the tv. With the recent firmware update it’s been great. The LPCM through the soundbar works really well!
I was thinking of tearing one of these soundbars apart and wiring it up to a car amplifier and putting it in my car.
It's not that easy with this Samsung. To do that choose a simpler soundbar.
Would love to see you do this to the new q800a soundbar (the next model down), as that seems to be a better value for money soundbar, and currently has fantastic reviews

The drivers should’ve been made out of higher quality materials such as carbon fiber instead of paper for its $1,600 price tag.
Paper is fine, it producers natural sound.

Hi friend, hoe long is it? When is release date?
It's about 1 meter and 30 cm
It looks pretty basic inside. I dislike design where they separated atmos drivers, they have to little space to play any decent bass. All drivers are cheap although the wide ones are better because they got more air moving so mid range response is better. Even tho I own this soundbar Im gona modify it in the future when I will have more money. It doesn't sound to clear and driviers start distorting rather quickly at volumes over 14

@@hxosplus what is good? In such a high expensive system, they have used ferrite magnets instead of neodymium magnet. Cheap tactics of giving a 11.1.4 system for making hype.
All companies are using almost the same materials. It's the software and the DSP that counts as well.
@@hxosplus no. Most companies use neodymium magnet speakers as they are more powerful than normal ferrite core ones.
Samsung is the best atmos soundbar for the money. And it is definitely punching above its weight. So by no means its cheap. At the end of the the quality of sound matters. They can put in diamonds and if it still sounds the same what's the point?
