I had no idea that Caballe had performed this onstage...She sang better than some I've heard recently...Versalle is a revelation and he didn't get the acclaim he was due, IMHO. All the voices in this production were outstanding. Thanks for uploading...Tomorrow it'll be the one with Rene Kollo.

I listened to the Caballe parts. I really enjoyed listen to Caballe's further exploration of German opera. Hers is a wonderful effort! I felt she enjoyed singing this cosmic music as well. Very exciting to hear a major singer perform this music. RIP Great one! I liked Versalle's voice as well. I've never been a big Fassbaender fan. Her portrayal of Brangane strikes me as somewhere between an imbecile and a Klytaemenstra. I just don't get it. Couldn't make much out of the sets, they were so dark. But, check this out for the Caballe and Versalle!
If they are supposed to be madly in love why does she never move her hand from her chest holding her scarf ?.never embraces or kisses him at end but not shown ?.Singing is amazing and so long and difficult x
I confess that I haven't yet listened to the whole thing, but what I've heard--skipping around to the highlights--she sounds better than in the Liceo performances and Versalle is preferable here to Kollo.
I prefer opera in Italian rather than German. I just can't get used to opera in German, especially low German. Montserrat is in beautiful voice as always! Fassbender is great too.
Descanse en paz señora Caballé. Su legado ahí queda...
Thank you so much for posting this, such a marvellous music

She really was the soprano of last century. How lovely, how impressive.

Caballé hace un primer acto y principio del segundo inolvidable... Lo otro ya... No es una Isolde referencial...pero tiene sus momentos gloriosos...

The structure of the music is different in the German operas.
