Great vid!!! I have a 1991 toyota hilux 4x4 2,2 petrol with 932k on it and it is still a beast!!! BEST TOYOTA 4X4s EVER!!! won't sell it for anything!!! also just found an '88 model 4x4 single cab 2,4 petrol with 189k original from an old farmer as well and will be buying it next week to add to the collection these trucks are the most reliable 4x4s ever built period!!!
A friend of mine back in the day had a really nice 1983 Toyota 4wd truck. I thought that was the coolest truck. That’s when my Toyota obsession started…lol. The 80’s Toyota trucks are still my favorite Toyota’s as far as body style. I did have a 1989 4~Runner. I would put in the Back to the future VHS tape and fast forward to see the Toyota truck. There is also one in the video old man down the road by John Fogerty…Lol
That’s awesome your a fellow 80’s toyota fan, there’s just something about them.. The one from back to the future definitely played a huge role in getting me hooked.. 👍🏼
Interesting fact, I thing these were shipped to CA from Japan When i lived near I-5 N California and would always see the beds to these trucks shipped in special open trailers I belive they were going to Bencia Ca to be installed on to the Chassis
They were shipped from Japan without the bed, so it would not be a completed vehicle.(cheaper to ship) Beds were painted here in the US and that's why on the lighter metallic colors the bed paint does not match the cab section.
I have a 1994 Toyota extended cab pickup 4X4 22RE engine 5-speed transmission, I'm looking for nerf bars to put on it and can't find anything for it, every where I have checked says that there is none or can't get them, so where did those nerf bars come from
My 2002 Toyota Hilux (double cab) is fundamentally still the same, other than it has a 2.7 liter, 167 hp. I also have a 2012 hilux diesel, and really it is not much different other than no solid axel on front. sorry, USA. No cool, super simple, extra rugged Toyota trucks for you. 🤣😅😂
My current vehicle is a 1988 Toyota pickup 4 cylinder, It’s fuel injected and it’s super nice and has a nice body

Love seeing the old school trucks. Just started working on my home made tonneau cover for my T100.
That’s rad you have a T100, i can’t wait to get another one, i look on craigslist and marketplace everyday!! 👍🏼
She's an '86! Toyota used the same front grill cross-hatch design during the '84 - '86 period of this gen...
You know your yota’s! much respect! 👍🏼

That’s an awesome memory, little did you know how special they were at the time. Nothing like those classic 80’s Toyota’s!! 👍🏼

I have an 85 standard cab efi 105*** mi on 31 bfg slight rust to the bed though .
Can’t go wrong with a 85 with EFI, rusty or not! 👍🏼
Ps f that Karen she don't know good when she see it that way she single
I daily my 86 love it
It's an 86-88 with the IFS front suspension.
Obviously the 1985 is preferable, especially with the 22RE.. but i’ll take a nice 86-88 any day!! 👍🏼
