Thank you bud! I’m honestly stunned and thrilled these photos came out this good. I think you’d have a great time if you made over to Hawaii! After all whats not to love about a tropical island?
What an incredible video of a beautiful place, so jealous. Great choice of cameras and film too. Amazing shots, really feel like you captured the island in a unique way. I have to try your way of shooting infrared trichromes now, love how hard they punch! So happy for you two! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! It was a trio of a lifetime. No kidding, I spent 3 months debating what camera and what film to bring. The Fuji G690 and the Lomo 100 were both last minute additions. If you like Trichromes, definitely check out my previous video I did, shooting some infrared trichromes with Ilford SFX 200 in the North Cascades. I think you’ll really love it
So much good stuff here! Those pastels in the Lomo 100 shots are hecking delicious. Pro 400H in 6x9 was an inspired choice too (pouring one out for that sweet, sweet stock). You’re going to LOVE Kauai next summer (to state the obvious).
Definitely gonna shoot some Lomo 100 when I go back, but maybe in 120. Also gonna try and save some Pro 400H for then too. I got a few ideas of what else I’d like to shoot, even though it’ll be a shorter trip overall
I lived there on O’ahu, on Lewers St. and the Ala Wai, then for a few years in a beach house on the north shore. Ten years total. I could have told you the best places to go! It’s pretty much the most beautiful place I’ve ever lived. Aloha cousin! Mahalo for these photos!
@@northwestdepressed , I hope you get to return soon. My ten years there left me with great friends and “inside information” known only to kanaka (local) ohana (family).. amazing places to eat, out of the way quiet beaches, local bakeries, discounts, etc. It’s even better the 2nd and 3rd time you visit!
Thank you so much, I think I'm finally getting the hang of this? If it grows, it grows, but for now I'm enjoying the small community that's super receptive to these videos!
Thank you! I feel you on that, big time. I took a trip to Japan in 2015, when I wasn’t into photography, and now all I want to do is go back and capture it all.
I think I shot two rolls of Portra this year. On the other hand I've shot over ten rolls of Color Plus. I know Color Plus is a budget film, but I personally love the classic look of this film stock.
Dude, I love the pastel colors these shots are giving. Incredible trip, making me want to make Hawaii my next big trip!

Love the shots! Looks like a wonderful trip, thank you for sharing it with us.
Lovely shots both in BW and Color. Great Vid, Man.
Thank you, I put a decent amount of work into this video! I really wanted to do this trip justice.

It truly was paradise! I’ve never been somewhere more filled with life! If I head back to Oahu I’ll be sure to hit you up!

Colorplus looks so… for lack of a better word, creamy. Hahha
Was going for dreamy, but must of dialed it in a little too hard
Close enough 😅 I should try that.
Not sure what y'all was drinking, but it definitely wasn't a mai tai.
Digging these shots, my dude. So freaking good! Also, needs more nipple.
Get me demonetized before I even get monetized
I've always thought colorplus was the poor man's portra... or maybe the rich man's because he didn't spend all his money on portra...
