Rule #3: Buy the book 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson if you want to know the remaining 9 rules.
There are only a few people in this world who use language so analytical and well thought through like Jordan Peterson does :-)
I am so lucky to have just discovered this channel. Thank you so much for your hard work and conscientious contributions.
can't get enough of papi Peterson.
Jordan is the man.

Seriously.... its unreal that you don't have 10 million subscribers. I appreciate you. Thank you for what you do.
Excellent points, I loved the uncomfortable discussions leading to growth part.
Another great video! Having an uncomfortable conversations is huge.
The best part of the video was when you mentioned that you've dealt with a lot of uncertainty and you wonder whether what you're doing will matter. This is just how I feel!
Wow! Empathy really works to make you feel better 😀
Love it - I strongly relate to the uncomfortable conversations part! If you think about it its obvious that you grow if you take the courage to push through intuitive and felt resistances to fulfill what you really want.
Thanks for another amazing video. Going to add this book to my reading list.
Excellent video.. but these are rules 4 and 8. Here's a list of JP's 12 rules.
Rule 1 Stand up straight with your shoulders back
Rule 2 Treat yourself like you would someone you are responsible for helping
Rule 3 Make friends with people who want the best for you
Rule 4 Compare yourself with who you were yesterday, not with who someone else is today
Rule 5 Do not let your children do anything that makes you dislike them
Rule 6 Set your house in perfect order before you criticise the world
Rule 7 Pursue what is meaningful (not what is expedient)
Rule 8 Tell the truth - or, at least, don’t lie
Rule 9 Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don’t
Rule 10 Be precise in your speech
Rule 11 Do not bother children when they are skate-boarding
Rule 12 Pet a cat when you encounter one on the street
Recently came across your channel & I am in complete love with it. Already recommended my students to get here. Cheers & all the best 🙌
Please continue these types of videos. Very useful. I encouraged my teenage kids to read his book but at first these types of videos will be much more easy to watch and understand. If all 12 rules in this book can be presented in this video manor than as well dr Jorden Peterson you have also done your great bit for the Socity.
Thank you
Many thanks for the videos and the summaries, PG. Props! Wish you the best.
This is the best channel ive seen on youtube so far. great job
You deserve more subscribers. One of the best channels on youtube.
Kobin Kago I second that opinion. This is the best book review channel since fight mediocrity.

I have been waiting for this review since I saw Peterson talking about his new book :D
Thank you Dr JP!
Perfect.
Thanks for your efforts
You're a legend!
Keep up the great work!!
rule 1,6 and 7 did it for me.
i stand up straight, my room is clean, and i am playing less video games.
Please share how to reduce game addiction. I need help...
@@alphaweeb5195 find something more meaningful, change your friends. There is nothing wrong with plaing games, it is for fun and relaxing. But true achievement is out there.
Alpha Weeb I started paying more attention to how I felt after I played because no matter what happens in the game or how long I played I was no different or better than where I was before. I often would play instead of dealing with shit or to escape anxiety but everything would come back to exactly where I was before I played. Do some research on mindfulness meditation because Ive often used and continue to use games as an escape but being conscientious about my feelings and motives have helped reduce how much I play and do a lot more productive things. You got it man just trust yourself
@@patrickmckenna1700 i feel you
@@alphaweeb5195 find something that you like and is more meaningful than playing games... I had game addiction, i just realised that game is just where i run to, whenever i have any problems.. i convinced myself to face the problem and didn't run away from it, because i believe that i will become a brave and strong person if I don't run away from the problems i have.. and i did it! I ain't a game addict no more! It will take you some time, but it is worthed..
Its wonderful how you choose to speak only those ideas which appeal to you. It must have been a difficult choice to whether stick to whole book summary or just the part which appealed to be a differentiator. You have taken a courageous choice which helps everyone. Thanks a lot for doing this. It means a lot to me.
Really enjoyed this. Well summarised and very clear.
Underated channel. You gonna boom in the couple month!!
Thanks again really appreciate the work you do
Peace
Love this book. I highly recommend this.

Thanks

My results from watching this vid:
#1. I compared how well I was doing when I was younger. However, it seemed worse and it didn't give me any self confidence at all.
#2. This is what I'm too afraid to do because I can't stand any disappointments that will happen.
Thanks for great examples & review!
I can't understand why we must be always a better version of ourself... any day better than the day before? Too much stress...
That’s the way I see it too. He asks too much of people. I’ve seen comments listing all the things he says and at the end the person says and breathe, meaning he asks too much. He’s a good human though so I trust what he says.
Andrew Odiit that’s cliche as fuck.
Please consider doing some animations of his bible lecture series. That's got some amazing things in it.
This is good advice. It is an unfortunate fact that kindness is sometimes mistaken for weakness. And generosity recognised by the opportunist. Be the best you can and never mind those others out there. Have a hobby, keep financially secure if you can, and smile.
Thanks for J. Petersons balance, voice of reason to the generation of nutty professor's....
I want to improve my reading speed along with my retention. Any advice please?
you open my brain
Good one. But you mentioned just 2 rules instead of 12
so you go and buy the book
he just took 2 of 12 rules
Raj Pachori he explained in the beginning he would be speaking about the TWO rules that stood out to him amongst the twelve. It happened to be rules 1 and 2.
Best book I've read for decades! But for me there are much more then two rules important ... and also the hard truth that life is suffering but can lead to something good.
Please can you review "how to measure your life by clay Christensen"?
"...somewhat dark book,.." that's an understatement, Peterson is scaring mit shitless on a regular bases.
Hi, Please have a video about "Willpower Doesn't Work by Benjamin Hardy"
You just had a subscriber
Any Android apps that allows you to rate yourself on each tasks as suggested in the video??
❤️
you sound more like Edward Snowden great video
graphic designer here: did you purposely choose the font called 'lobster' - if so, nice pun, else: what a coincidence!
The Future of Private Equity: Beyond the Mega Buyout book review ....... please
3-12 ?
Yea what true them and voiding locking up in my body yeah
The guy narrating this vid actually sounds a little bit like Peterson..
We both have Canadian accents :) Grew up 60 minutes from where Peterson grew up (in northern Alberta, Canada)
@@ProductivityGame Pretty cool man. That explains it thanks. Keep up the good work.
Projekt:Kobra he could be his son. There IS a similarity. They sound a little like Kermit the frog.
sounds like Sinbad from another channel
What’s better?
Good microroutine adaptation there chum
I support the idea of looking at yourself for better understanding and not to compare yourself with the others, but if it's all about achieving a better version of myself just to avoid sadness in my life it's way easier to by try and error to mimic successful people. And a lot of people go this way, because it's a shortcut, a risky one but some people will succeed.
Rule No1 works well until you start ageing and physically and later mentally your performance is no longer that good besides your ability to learn new things and tricks gradually diminishes. Ageing people that don't understand that and are stubborn ones start making waves and block younger generations from prosperity - what we see happening in the West by the way.
So my Rule No1 is: REMAIN HUMBLE.
Being a developer and becoming a CEO are not different career paths. Most of CEOs in software companies happens to be top tier developers as well - these people happens to have some extra interpersonal skills that allow them to engage in management.
With me who having to have parkins's early onset disease
I abiding by maybe six of them. I'm 58 and life's OK. Going to Paris on Friday .. going to Mumbai in November. I stopped drinking in 2011 .. that moved things along for me. Kinda miss it .. beer and rock n roll are yin and yang .. but I need to get to my pension years in reasonable shape.
The man glared on my God
This video is great but needs music in the back
what about the other rules
I liked the book. It has some life changing messages. Personally I felt he waffled abit with the various metaphors and biblical narrative and it was difficult to see how it was relevant to the rule in question. But overall a very good book
Self-doubt: Stock investing. Social media. And we can all win (unless our business requires competition!). Plus everything’s greener on the other side!
That was what you got from the book?
Really?
Why only 2 rules?
