Appreciate the shoutout, buddy! Hopefully those tie rod ends will work out for you.
Glad you and everyone is safe even through that storm. Can’t stop a car guy from loving cars! Keep it up, bro. How do I grow up to be like you?
Also just to add, those wheels are looking mighty fine!! Excellent work with procuring the two correct ones and restoring the set back to their former glory!

I hope to pull those castle nuts soon and get a better verification. But, not only do I need to fix the steering box and replace the gas tank seal, but now my carbs may need urgent rebuilding!
I really appreciate noticing the wheels. I’m anxious to finish the other two!

@@vdubjunkie just to note, that bushing that came off the steering arm left on the damper… I dont think that was supposed to come off. Good luck dude, I heard those bushings are hard hard to find. I got lucky and the new pitman arm I got had a much better condition than the bushing that was on my stock arm.

@@jeremydoc thanks for the heads up. I don’t mind turning a new bushing if I need to!

One thing I'm looking forward to when I get ole Mosey going is, the maintenance is perpetual. Always look forward to your videos. Another great one as usual!

Very nice of you to say. I agree too. Maintaining these cars is a joy and a privilege!

Grew up in Germany (military kid) and my dad had several air-cooled VW's as drivers. Looking at you tightening the axle/drum nut brought back memories- do I own any VW's? Inherited a couple of V8 Audi Quattros, but no air-cooled V-dubs. I like '67-'76 Chrysler A-bodies to futz around with

I’m glad it could stir some hopefully good memories for you. I enjoy just about any cars, but especially older ones.

      @@vdubjunkie I do appreciate air-cooled VW's, and a lot of cars/vehicles.

Almost as handsome as that variant. Almost.

I do know a better way to clean the contacts! Glue a tiny square of sandpaper to a pencil eraser… perfect size to get in there. Also, get some late beetle tail light lens 5:46 to housing seals, clean up and glue them in the metal chanel of your front signal housings - seals up the lens and stops corrosion. - B

It’s a little rough around the edges, but I love it just the same.
