Great video, great narration. I love your passion for the vw, I’m the same way, I’ve owned and worked on these since the 70s, I think vw owners are a different breed, I dream about them, I’m 69 and still loving it. Currently working on a 69 ghia, ghias are my choice! Keep up the great work my friend 😎

I truly appreciate you saying so, and you must be right about VW owners. You can see it in other people. They just don’t understand why we love them so much! Not sure if you know this, but I also have a ‘69 Ghia and I’d really love to do something great with it

Your thorough work paid off! I like the grease on the boot end idea. Not sure why I hadn't thought of that.

Thanks man. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you it is a labor of love!

As the owner of a 70 Notch (full auto) I approve of this message. Even though I'm in another hemisphere.

Our passion clearly transcends global boundaries! Nice to hear from a fellow Notchback owner!

@@vdubjunkie Just watched your Petroix video. Wish I had half a brain on electrics. I have an unknown brand points replacement in the distributor, a Petronix coil and now I'm waiting for a failure.

@ make sure you have a low ohm resistance between the distributor body and the negative battery post and your plug wires are fully seated into the cap and coil. I feel like these are the two most common points of failure.

This is great, bro. You did a ton of work in the short amount of time you had. Good idea installing the entire assembly (engine/trans/subframe) all together at the same time instead of piece by piece. That crate you made helped I’m sure

Thanks man. You know that platform has a spot in my attic now!
