Russia may need more efforts to take Odessa. Its located behind the river, in which Russia still failed to cross over. The port be heavily mined and inland units can still launch anti-cruise missiles to the fleet. Even when they captured Odessa, supply for troops will be a nightmare, either take a risk to cross Dnipro river and be ambushed by drones or transfer by ferry and got hit by missiles or mines. Also there are French army garrisoned at Odessa, it will be a costly campaign even when those French army surrendered immediately.

If the Russian Air Force is putting in this much work, it glaringly points to the ungodly bad strategic and tactical planning of the Ukrainian leadership.
All those drones sent into Russia to blow up inconsequential things....... why wasn't a concerted effort made to destroy every aircraft at every airfield near the front lines? Ukraine has no one but themselves to blame if the allowance of Russian aircraft to not only exist but bomb them.
Following priority should have been the enemy air defense/SAMS.
With those two things gone Ukraine gains air supremacy over Ukrainian airspace and they can better support their ground forces.
