With that size think a HDT puller hauler would be the best to handle that size. Think the traditional crew cab dually would be over whelm with that size
WOW I really love it when R-V manufacturers do some out of the box thinking instead of playing it safe with the same old thing , JD you found a unicorn
The wind drag on the front. You're right this is not something you take everywhere all the time it would catch too much wind and drag. it's a nice trailer though.
We’ve been waiting for something like this to hit the market for a long time. We love our front living with loft. 4 daughters and a wife. This really checks the boxes!
great review! i think they should have gone the mini split A/C route. that'd be a great trailer to park forever. I'd plumb it to the site with real toilets and bypass the tanks.
This thing looks amazing. I hope others take notes. I really hope brinkley gets in the destination game. This type of aesthetic mixed with brinkley quality and kitchen innovation would be killer. Honestly all this model needs is a better residential fridge and a dishwasher. I'm loving the adoption of workstation sinks.
Best and most beautiful destination Rv I have ever seen. Feels like a cozy home when you walk in. hats off to Forest River...you guys n\knocked it out of the park.
tiny home builders have been building these 5th wheel homes for 7 yrs now. one i seen used a circle stair case another was a beautiful bathroom with a soaker tub. Absolutely amazing
Hey JD, I hope that you're having a great day! I really love this new 2025 Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen Roost43 fifth wheel destination trailer! I hope that they don't change anything on this unit. I would live in this full time! I kinda wish that the master bedroom had a full bathroom instead of a half bath. I do like that it's a bath and a half though an the master bedroom has its own bathroom. I'm glad that they put two electric fireplace space heaters in this unit. I like the living room setup, but I kinda wish there was a theater seat in with the sofa but I do like that style of sectional that they have in it. I do like that they give you a side by side washer and dryer in the full bathroom. Thank you JD for showing us and giving us the information on this Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen Roost43 destination fifth wheel! Your number one fan and friend Leonard from North Carolina!
That is a really nice vacation destination R.V.! IT SLEEPS 8 PEOPLE! I love it! This is the trailer I would buy if I bought a property lot on a nudist resort!😂 Unfortunately for me, I am flat broke! No money, no honey!
Wow! Triple axel for 18780 GVWR? That could be considered to be overkill, however when you look at where the axels are in relation to the pin box, it's probably more for stability when stationary than for load bearing on the road. Love the concept, the queen in the modified loft is really cool, love the half bath off the master and the loft above the living is wonderful. That's a pretty small fresh water tank though for a destination type RV...I would have expected something nearer 100 gal. Wind drag would be a concern, but if it's meant to be a tow and drop type of RV, then potential wind drag is only an inconvenience while you're towing it to a location. Really nice concept, and I really like the out-of-the-box thinking by Forest River.
Wow, this is one of a kind 5th wheel I love the layout and if I was looking to get one I would definitely be looking at this. I was thinking that you would need a semi to tow this but after looking at the numbers a dually would be able to two this, I guess we will see if there will be a market for these kind of 5th wheel, thank you sir for sharing this one.
With the way the economy is, you're going to see a lot of them on the road going somewhere. It is really cool, and if has the same kinda of price as some of the other destination trailers.
Forest river has stepped there game up. Don’t like the sink/ no room to do pots and pans. Have to move everything to do them. This would be nice for the lake.
You're right! That is an awesome floor plan. I'm wondering if there's enough space in that Master Bedroom vanity area for a quad display day trader setup? I think it could be. 😊
I think if you full time RV the front valance over those front windows they made that flush you can actually use that as a full-time RV cuz it's triple axle those are probably 8000 lb axles really nice layout it would be nice if you had two full baths in that but I don't see where you could do that it's a good layout
I like it, few changes maybe cut like 2-3 feet off and make it more moving friendly. Maybe shrink the lower bath so you could have 2 full bathrooms. Swap the washer dryer to the new heat pump style combo unit.
Absolutely one of the nicest I've scene. 1 thing I would change is the bed outside of the master only has some privacy. I would sacrifice the queen for a full and have some sort of closure for privacy. Curtains are nice, but a sliding door ( like the one in the bathroom ) would work nice. Otherwise fantastic concept!
Super cool RV. I'm a little disappointed about the lack of storage in the bedroom. I'd sacrifice that tiny, useless deck area (the big ledge in front of the seat makes it useless) for a dresser/closet. I've watched this video on other channels and I haven't gotten tired of looking at it, yet... such a beautiful RV.
JD I was wondering if you could address I have seen some news of CAT and John Deere coming out with a pickup. I haven’t seen anything official from the manufacturers so I’m assuming it’s fake. But wanted your thoughts.
Nice trailer. We used to call these park model trailers. Don’t know why some are complaining about fresh water tanks? You wouldn’t use it anyway. If you’re hooked up to water, the tank could be 10 gallons and it wouldn’t matter. Only thing I don’t like is the stupidest fireplace in the bedroom make storage instead of a fake fireplace that no one is going to use. These are going to sell. Also the comment about buy a mobile home instead doesn’t make any sense. People put these in resort parks where you buy the spot. You can’t have a mobile home on places like that. My parent lived in a Park model for 5 or so years in a park near Helen, GA. This thing is a lot bigger and nicer than theirs. These places have restrictions against certain types of toilets and other things you’d get in a mobile home. Also most of these type places have a maximum width and height you can put on them.
Will you do a package deal with a M2 hauler and this remarkable RV? If so how much I and the wife have been looking for full time rv with hauler due to mobile jobs and want the freedom more than we have and travel from camp to camp throughout our state
Great floor plan that's for sure, looks very nice. My guess is it's probably around $90 / 100 K which is a lot. I've had a Wildwood by Forest River and the quality was crap, had way to many issue's. Hopefully they have changed their practices ?..
Looks very cool. Would love the option to kill the mid bunk and add a full bath and office nook. This would make me look harder at it. A half bath off the master....chick's DON'T dig it😂😂
Looks like needs a feq more drawers and cabinets in kitchen. Nice pantry and coffee area. 2 full baths would have been better. Or at least full bath for master half bath for living room. Send kids to the parks showers. Some neat ideas though.
Not sure what ur referring to; there’s literally 30 plus year old rvs still looking good. I think what u meant to say was u shouldn’t buy if u can’t afford to maintain it just like a car; a house a boat or any other thing u buy in life🥴
@@brianpino7274 on the new ones you have frames cracking and they are literally using the worst lap sealant you can get and not prepping them so you would need to redo all of it or run a feeler gauge to try and find where it comes loose, they aren't taping the joints on roof, they won't use plastic bushings on electric stubs that would be required in building that doesn't move and it's a roof off repair if it doesn't catch fire first
Is it aluminum and foam construction, or wood? My main problem with my current destination trailer is that it is fiberglass covered wood, and in the winter months when the park is closed off and power is not available, the thing quickly deteriorates from mold and little critters! More modern non-wood construction might help alleviate that
You keep calling it a "destination trailer" but it has Level Up, basement, Furrion Camera, and lighter than my toyhauler. Yes it has sliding glass door for entry but i bet stairs are available. I could see this being towed regularly. Either way, they really put alot of thought into it and well designed in my opinion.
Will you beat me to the specs, Josh with Bosh's rv put his review on this same unit out today too. He included the specs and also said that the couch in the back was just storage
Depending on location, if used as a single destination unit, why not purchase a single or doublewide manufactured home? Would probably be similar in price and twice the square foot. As said, this is not something you move often. Thus, one would want water, power, and sewer. I guess benefits over the manufactured home would not have to pull permits (depending on local ordnances). Will give the manufacturer the thumbs up for the new concept.
Spec’s on ROOST43:
Hitch Weight: 3,480
CCC: 2,421
UVW: 16,359
GVWR: 18,780
Length: 43’9”
Height: 13’5”
Fresh Water: 57 gal
Grey Water: 53 gal (2 tanks = 106 gal)
Black Water: 53 gal (2 tanks = 106 gal)
IT'S GORGEOUS .
BUT MY CONCERN WOULD BE PULLING IT DOWN THE ROAD WITH THE WIND DRAG.
THAT IT WOULD HAVE WITH THE WAY THAT THE ROOF IS IN THE FRONT.
Any idea on price?
@@DevineHopeFoundation Yes I agree but Is not made for towing, is a destination unit so you would not be towing it very often.
@@DevineHopeFoundation Based on my experience, a slight headwind would drop your mileage down to about 4 MPG.
With that size think a HDT puller hauler would be the best to handle that size. Think the traditional crew cab dually would be over whelm with that size
I'm a construction worker lived in RVs for 20 years that's one of the most desirable unit I've seen so far
Forest River knocked it out of the park, they really nailed it on this beauty.
WOW I really love it when R-V manufacturers do some out of the box thinking instead of playing it safe with the same old thing , JD you found a unicorn
“This is a destination trailer and not something you would take everywhere” - me with a 3500 SRW Denali “hold my yeti cup”
The wind drag on the front.
You're right this is not something you take everywhere all the time it would catch too much wind and drag.
it's a nice trailer though.
Same 😂😂😂
Stunning! It's an Airbnb on wheels!
That sounds like a great project idea! 😁👍
If you’re going to do that just buy a mobile home. Could prolly get one bigger and cheaper
It's starting to get annoying that AC units are not switching over still!
Agree. Imagine sleeping in that loft a couple feet below the blasting A/C.
This is a really clever design and floor plan for a fifth wheel - was not expecting this.
Josh the RV Nerd had the numbers. The end couch was not a fold out bed. It was all storage. He explained how the couch will store in travel.
This is fantastic. It’s one of those “I didn’t know I needed this” till someone said “hold my beer” !!!!!!
Best and most beautiful destination Rv I have ever seen. Feels like a cozy home when you walk in. hats off to Forest River...you guys n\knocked it out of the park.
Ohhhh myyyy god!!!!!! We are in love with this destination trailer. I would be proud to live in this.
Very impressive. Definitely my next and last RV!!
tiny home builders have been building these 5th wheel homes for 7 yrs now. one i seen used a circle stair case another was a beautiful bathroom with a soaker tub. Absolutely amazing
Love it! We're looking for something just like this unit but haven't found anything until now. I just wish they would include a dishwasher!
I actually like this! Smart placement on the washer and dryer.
As a weekender, I would buy this without hesitation. This thing is gorgeous.
A second home for snowbirds for sure.
I really like this one.
This beast is fantastic.
A Destination RV with respectable basement storage.!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Now THAT is tempting.
This is a beautiful unit.
It’s Like A 2-Story House. WoW.

Wow! Crazy build.
I'd love to know how that couch slide works with the sectional. Doesn't look like it has enough room to move in.
That is a really nice vacation destination R.V.! IT SLEEPS 8 PEOPLE! I love it! This is the trailer I would buy if I bought a property lot on a nudist resort!😂 Unfortunately for me, I am flat broke! No money, no honey!

Tiny home without the issues of a Tiny Home.
This is perfect for a family 😊
I need it with a regular door or patio to protect the sliding door. I think I would think really hard on it with one of those things.
Wow, this is one of a kind 5th wheel I love the layout and if I was looking to get one I would definitely be looking at this. How is that Gold Star Rating system coming along for the manufacturers..Any updates on what 3 things they're willing to improve?
I will buy this unit, it's phenomenal for my family
I like it. I wonder if the roof is made the same as a regular RV? I would hope it had maybe a solid fiberglass or something similar.
That is an awesome unit!
With the way the economy is, you're going to see a lot of them on the road going somewhere. It is really cool, and if has the same kinda of price as some of the other destination trailers.

Love this unit!!!!

Wouldn't want a Berkshire Hathaway RV but that look does look amazing
You're right! That is an awesome floor plan. I'm wondering if there's enough space in that Master Bedroom vanity area for a quad display day trader setup? I think it could be. 😊

Very cool concept. Worth taking a good look at .

Awesome 5th wheel i have some on order already. Houston area.
I like it, few changes maybe cut like 2-3 feet off and make it more moving friendly. Maybe shrink the lower bath so you could have 2 full bathrooms. Swap the washer dryer to the new heat pump style combo unit.
SO SWEET!
It's different, I like it.
I think the only thing they missed was putting some kind of partition on the upper bunk by the master bedroom. A curtain or something.
They added a curtain on the updated prototype

I like it. However if the middle queen bed area was an office it would definately be a go for us. We really need the office space.
Wow.That is really nice does it have black and grey tanks on it.
Here are some numbers. Hitch weight, 3,480lbs, Max weight, 18,780lbs, Empty/Dry weight, 16,359lbs, Cargo, 2,421lbs. Length, 43’9” Width 8’5” (101”) Height, 13’5” Fresh Water, 57gal, Gray Dual 53gal (106gal total) Black Tank, 53gal Dual(106gal total) Square Foot, 530!
Beautiful, will it have a generator for off grid? Thanks for the review
Take a drink every time he says absolutely
Vrey cool. Thank you!
Love it
Are there heat pumps? Is fridge battery, electric, gas altogether? How think is the insulation? Are there tank heaters? TIA
It used to be that Destination Style RVs did not have tanks therefore you had to have complete hookups

Not sure honestly, havent heard anything
I saw a concept video of the CAT pickup. If they make it, it should be very cool!
Cat truck is fake news
Beautiful
With the sectional couch being right next to the spiral stairs, how does that rear slide work?
I thought most destination RVs didnt have tanks? Theoretically you could tow it everywhere. Diesel bill would be fun!
Nice trailer. We used to call these park model trailers. Don’t know why some are complaining about fresh water tanks? You wouldn’t use it anyway. WOW! I would option for one without the loft!
Hope the frame won’t snap like a pretzel during transit to its semi permanent home!
Very cool
Great floor plan that's for sure, looks very nice. My guess is it's probably around $90 / 100 K which is a lot. I've had a Wildwood by Forest River and the quality was crap, had way to many issue's. Hopefully they have changed their practices ?..
Beautiful. But why did it take so long?! Anything as long as a destination trailer should not be bumper pull, right?
I have a question. Does it have a pantry, slide out or fixed shelves ?
Looks very cool. Would love the option to kill the mid bunk and add a full bath and office nook. This would make me look harder at it. A half bath off the master....chick's DON'T dig it😂😂

Some neat ideas though.
Your Fr450 2024 tgat I can't get one just waiting do 2025...yours look good for test pulling. ..waiting seei. ❤
Love floor plan, except lofts, not my thing. Everything else top notch! Would rater have storage
It's. Beautiful howe er it's still an rv so it will just break and rot and be a headache sad but true
Not sure what ur referring to; there’s literally 30 plus year old rvs still looking good. I think what u meant to say was u shouldn’t buy if u can’t afford to maintain it just like a car; a house a boat or any other thing u buy in life🥴

And the newer slide systems make the old hydraulic slides look good in comparison.
Like it. But putting in the living room slide looks like you need to remove the stairs to the loft or do something with the couch.
This is a staging sofa. The sofa that will come with this unit will fold up to accommodate the slide coming in.
Yeah.... I love it. This will push competition to bring more of these to the market! 😃
I know this is meant to be used at a seasonal camp ground, but could you take this on road trips?
Is it aluminum and foam construction, or wood? Seems like from a towability standpoint, this is a much smarter way to tow a brick than using a bumper pull style
Gonna need more than a 450 to tow this monster safely that’s for sure
Anyone worried about the Lippard frame?
How can the slide in the living room retract if the spiral stairs are right next to the couch?
I want one!
Is humongous but I like to layout how many people can sleep. It looks good for family.
Gold door hardware is back in style?
Yes, I don't care for it! I would replace all the drawer pulls!

Works great as a cabin. Park on a cement pad, rodent deter it, skirt it, hook to septic and well. I'd four season it as well.
How does that back slide go in??

love it except the stairs for this disabled senior
