As soon as he said "rescue Tawna" I was just thinking "Oh...yeah that's not ending due to how Cortex works, even without crate stacks and logs."
That was the result of careful script editing.
It amazes me that someone went to the effort of programming the phone explosion to actually do damage.
Yet another extremely high quality video from the most underrated creator on the platform! Using the idle animation to your advantage is one of the most ridiculous, hilarious, and awesome solutions I’ve ever seen in a challenge video. Amazing work once again! Keep it up!

I wanted to add that at 3:05 technically, by precisely jumping on the very right edge then on the left edge, you may access the gem area without triggering the exit portal nor having the yellow gem first. It's very hard to do but you'd require to spin to get through the area, so for this type of run it's not worth it
wow, it's more than clear that some levels "want" you to spin, but well done forcing the mandatory number down to 8... 8 too much for breakfast though
The fact cold animations actually affects your movement is so funny.

Just found your channel. Never played any Crash. But this was well done. You have the humor so adding more jokes like, "Simpsons reject" would make these more entertaining. If you're struggling for jokes? Chat GPT is very helpful & can create very funny jokes with practice.

in the level the lab's bonus, I thought the pixel perfect jump to reach the upper boxes was the intended way and to now here its the harder way I'm both mad that I tired that way so many times, but also happy since it means I did it the hard way

2:43 actually I remember testing this years ago I believe three is standable ledge on the top of the log and is the only way around it
Yes, it is possible to stand on top of the log while it's vertical. But you need to get on top of it first, which isn't possible from the starting ledge. You can't Slide Jump or Crouch Jump in Crash 1, so your maximum jump height is only 2 Crates, and the distance between the platform and the top of the log is at least 3 Crates.
Of course, if you're able to present video evidence to the contrary, I gladly encourage it.

14:00 - I'm curious about one thing. If you jump on the TNT and activate the checkpoint at the exact moment when it explodes, but BEFORE the bonus crate is destroyed and then intentionally die, will the bonus crate respawn without the TNT crate?
Theoretically, yes, but the timing would have to be frame perfect.

6:27 when I heard "no losing lives outside of bonus rounds" i feel so stupid.
I leave and restart the level when i die to bonus rounds.
The lives counter never decreases in Bonus Rounds, which is how the game defines death for the Gem.
You're also allowed to die anywhere prior to the first checkpoint.
I feel like, sense it's possible to escape a nitro death with the phone animation, it should be possible to escape the tnt damage too
The timing has to be precise, though. Too late and you'll take damage. Too soon and you'll interrupt the animation, forcing you to wait for it all over again.
Plus, it's slightly less possible in Crash 1, since you can't slide.

Yes, but the only one of Crash's idle animations that does this is a spin, which is why Coco is required.

As for my idea as to why the logs don't react to the phone bomb.
My guess is the wood from wumpa isles have unique properties.
They can tank explosives left as they area but if they're used to make a crate, they lose that resistance.
Why the bomb can break crates but the logs don't budge from the phone.

This dosnt actuly seam like that hard of a challenge. i mean with a few acseptions you can jump on basicly all of the box's and in the 2nd and 3rd game u can just slid to break most of them. the only few you might have trouble with are the ones that have a box sandwitched betwean 2 tnt crates. though with that said the 3rd game might have some issues given that the super spin is needed to reach a few blocks

Man theoreticaly failed the challenge in the cutscene before gameplay actualy even started, I`ve never seen that before in any challenge of any game which is just hilarious I laughed for a good few minutes. But it`s all good let`s not consider that since it`s not actual gameplay 😆

@@Iron8127 We already have Goku Crash in the final cutscene of Mind Over Mutant. Might as well give him a Super Saiyan form.
Only thing i can think that would make Cortex & Uka Uka want to hide would be giving Crash the Emeralds' stronger form, the super emeralds.
And considering what hyper sonic can do, that could probably be accurate.

Not to mention, you wouldn't have two mask reaching that point if you already used aku 3rd form to get there.
@@gabrieltorres6633 Yes you would. When Aku Aku Invincibility wears off, you go back to having two masks. And even if you died or took damage, you can get more using death abuse.
