The grass line at Emmords Hole on the Chapman Ranch area has been producing as well. Have yet to find my 30 incher. Once again Susan, coodos on a fantastic fish.

Ross, I also want to thank you for your videos. I moved here to Corpus Christi a couple years ago and semi-retired, working part time. I grew up in this area fishing here, but left CC in 75. I am basically learning how to fish all over again, getting away from natural baits and going artificial most of the time. Your videos are well produced, and I learn something from all of them. BTW,. I caught my personal best trout at the fish pass jetty last spring, a fat 29 incher, on a live pinfish. Its a blast, ain't it?

Oh thats a Diawa lol. I thought maybe it was a Piscifun Thunder like I got. Got mine on the same rod. Hey thats my setup! Then I see its a Tetula lol. My Thunder is a nice reel. 240 yds of 30 or 10 mono. 18.5 lbs of drag.

Hey Ross.....seems you're still fighting that floating grass. It has been horrible here around Port Mansfield. Can wait for this grass to lay down or go away.
Manuel Saldivar Floating grass will unfortunately be around till the water cools down some. It releases from the bottom when the water heats up.

I like the way you saw that it was a trout thinking it was a red, omg get the net, I caught a 32 incher in Rockport copano bay , I was on a private pier catching bait , with a spinning outfit with 8lb test , it took 20 minutes to get it in, made 4 runs , I thought it was a red by the way it ran straight out, specs usually run parallel,I said the same thing to my twin brother ,oh my God it's a trout get the net !!!
