What a cool guy. Seems very humble and has quite a life. I'm loving the 1 on 1 interviews. Adam is legit one of the better interviewers working today. Relaxed, very conversational, he knows a lot of old references and he can pick up the slack when the guest needs help. My God, he made interviews with Bai Ling and Lou Ferrigno as tolerable as aurally possible.
Now Americans think that but I drive my 1969 Impala wagon around my town in Mexico and people have no idea what it is. I thought everybody knew what a 1969 Impala was.
@@mexicanspec I grew up in Fresno during the 60s and 70s…Impalas were like Volkswagens in Berlin. You could see plenty of Impalas cruising at Roeding Park on Sundays or the “Drag” on Belmont Ave on Saturday night. So long ago…
Paul was just in Clifford the Big Red Dog and he was funny. He's a cool guy and a real part of American culture. I've always liked him a lot. He's one of the good ones. 😎👍Great interview...
I don't usually say this about other men but the only word that can come to my mind is that is one sweet guy. I'm glad I listened to the whole interview. I feel like I know the man much better
Enjoyed the PC with Paul Rod. Hope to see Paul and/or Adam on a comedy tour swing thru the great state of Texas. Bring the laughter to Austin ASAP. Always supporting the comic community. Thanks!!
Chavez was anti-illegal immigration because the labor movement was anti-immigration and Chavez was a union leader. The labor unions changed their position on illegal immigration in 2000

I wish the movie DC cab had been brought up. Because he did that with Bill Maher. That could’ve been an interesting conversation about a young Bill Maher
no, Will did NOT become Ali... Ali is super cool, Will is a bozo... no matter how much he tried to be Ali, you're never gonna believe it. Poor Casting is why the film failed.
The doc when we were kings was so much better. The movie was completely unnecessary and redundant. It recreated the doc poorly. That's all they did. Horrible.
Hollywood celebrities and other comedians are sure having a great time watching one of their own fall apart at the seems. They preach acceptance and tolerance but they have ALL taken their shots at Will Smith. Funny when they start to eat their own.
Europeans learn various languages and can switched from culture to culture. This idea that Mexican Americans should be largely a part of the dominant culture in the US and speak mostly English is a logic fallacy and borders on xenophobic and racist ideologies.
American Hispanic people should hang on to their language and they should speak English. We have to have a common language as Americans for practical purposes. Still we welcome and are enriched by Latino and Chicano culture. The same is true for French speaker or otherwise. Chicano people are our bothers and sisters. I'm glad Mexico and South America are our neighbors and I would take Latinos and Chicanos over most Americans or people from any other country. Preach on.
Paul’s role in Born in East LA “Jesus wants a beer “ scene is epic, funny as F !.
Fantastic interview! Really glad to hear about his upbringing and family background.
My family and I would watch Paul’s comedy back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. He’s still my mom’s favorite comedian. 😆😆😆
Tall Boy
@@mikechavez4020 Also can’t forget your Mexican classic “A Million to Juan.”

As a Mexican American myself, Paul reflects what the vast majority of MA"s think and feel. Not George Lopez
i’ve heard several people think that Paul Rodriguez was George Lopez, and I told them that Paul actually has talent.
He's a triple OG
George Lopez isn't funny but at least he isn't Carlos Mencia.
@William That's a great question
Great interview I enjoy all of Paul Sr work great stories keep it up Paul.
This is was Awesome!!!
Greetings from florida 🐬 We Luv Paul ❗️
His performance in Ali was Great 👍
I saw him in person back in the early eighties. He was so funny as a stand up comedian.
5 years ago I dreamed about a podcast with this man. Why? To help bridge that gap between generations 💪 I love you bro

He had a great Sitcom back in the day .. PABLO !😁👍🏻
I remember the unknown comic from The Gong Show
Love Paul. I'm from fresno I've seen his stand up twice, Rodeing Park Amphitheater and at a Casino in Lamore.

Paul ure dad sounds like a great man....RIP All the best to him
If I had any shred of respect left for Will Smith, that is gone now too. Paul Rodriguez is more of a man than that hollywood harp will ever be.
Word
Mi favorite comedienne, es muy chistoso
You were thinking of gary muledear, the guy with arrows, cowboy hat.
MAN--Paul hits the language thing DEAD ON.
What an Icon! AC coming with nothing but the hits thank you sir!!!🙏🌎🍾🍾🍾
My favorite movie with Paul was the Whoopie Boys!
Paul is a very nice great speaker and very smart and funny
Norman Lear is a pioneer!!!! Love him, always will.
Are the one on one shows a guest request?
It's part timing, part sidekicks are lefties. Sometimes the guests can't be there during normal show time.

Pauls life is a great American story
The Unknown Comic was a fucking laugh riot. I would put him up against any of these so called stand up comics today.
Good dude.
Got to get it on.
I’m Phil, and I stand by the Adam Carrolla show.
@William hello William! Good to meet ya!
Ken Landreaux definitely rings a bell for for this old Dodger Blue, Paul👌🏻
Will Smith also ruined aunt Viv’s career too! If he thinks you wrong him, he holds a grudge!
