@@thelagmeister ha! Thank you my friend - I was having a fan girl moment for sure lol! He was very nice when I met him back then too! I've talked to Captain Sensible a couple times and he is a great bloke and Rat was super cool as well. I wish I had recorded more conversations but also it was all just happening so fast, just being in the moment. Being who I am - I am all about preserving the moments for memories sake....it was a lot of fun I tell ya, and yes finding out Dave has my photos really made me SO, so happy !! My heart was all aflutter with that knowledge. I gave him a picture I took of his wife Patricia Morrison from another show back in the early 2000s when she was in the band, as well as my card with my channel on it. Maybe he will look one day! 😉 GREAT TIMES!!! Thanks for checking it out!! ☺
@@gunfury3774 hhheeeeeyyyy there thank you sssssoooo much ! I really appreciate that! I am so glad you enjoyed and happy you stopped by to hang out with the most awesome band the DAMNED!! I forgot to put the rest of the bands autographs in the book!!
@@tankthelord1178 Was talking to my dear friend from England yesterday and we were of age to really reaaaaaallllyyy have fun in the 80s!! I moved to London in '84 and stayed 4 years or so, had the best time at shows ever!! Saw the Damned a ton of times over those years, as well as a bunch of others I loved! The Damned always my favorite!!!
@@bigantplowright5711 hahaha grooosssss!!! I bet thise were some wild and fantastic shows!!! I was 11 in 77 about the time I first heard the band at my friend's house as her brother was blasting them !!! I forgot to include photos of the signatures that the guys put in my book! I had Rat sign the big one I took of him sticking his tongue out at me back in 1986 at the Tea Party!
Been a Damned fan since 77 when my older brother introduced me to them. Seen them so many times never ever a bad gig. One of the best bands ever. I’ve met Captain Sensible a few times. The first time was probably about 1998. The Damned were playing a festival in The UK, I was sitting with my boy in the cafe section he was about 10 at the time when Sensible walked in my son couldn’t believe it, Sensible noticed my son’s reaction and came over and sat with us and chatted for about half an hour. He was such a lovely bloke we spoke an awful lot about Marc Bolan who I think Sensible quietly idolised. I’m a guitarist myself so a lot of conversation was about guitars too.
@@TheFairway8 oh man that is super fantastic!!! How fun for your son!! Yes I find Captain a really nice guy to chat with also! Funny and easy going! I heard all the Damned stories about how he could be a bit much, and all the ruckus he and Rat would cause but I think he's a great guitarist and unique character! I wish I had someone recording for me more of talking to Captain just to have for the memory....I like talking with him. Also Rat was very easy to talk to. Dave was always super cool and nice to talk to. Every show I've ever seen has been awesome as well! Lucky us! Long live the Damned!! Thank you for your story!!
That's awesome. I'm glad you got to tell Dave about the pictures. He seems like a really cool dude. JUSTICE FOR PENNY
