Knowledge is the sum of all things you have learned. Experience is the sum of all things you have done. Wisdom is the result of combining the two. You are learning, first-hand, so much about food plots. You have experienced the value of no-till, yet you still disc and till. You have seen the value of combining a variety of things throughout a food plot, yet you still separate them. At some point, your wisdom will be such that you plant highly diverse, no-till plots, because they are not only easier and cheaper, they are much better for the soil and they are much better for helping create favorable habitat for wildlife.

I love the videos and the insight you share on food plots. I have my best brassicas ever thanks to you and this channel! I’ve heard you say on videos a few times that you were looking for a pre-emergent for beans. Have you found one you like?

      Thanks 👍
This year I used Prowl H20 right after planting on my beans. Definitely overdid it a little and stunted them for about a month but they did recover. It definitely held lots of broadleafs back. Next year I plan on using it too but at a lower dosage.

Please though, slow down on the camera panning.
If you're going to show something, show it please.

Yeah I need to definitely start doing some overlay footage in the shaky spots.

My clover has that white look to it too. Not all of it but some. No idea what it is. Would be interested to here any opinions

Try adding calcium to that alfalfa. Might need some boron as well.
Looks like powdery mildew on the clover. Common with red clover

What is powdery mildew? Is it bad for the plant?

    • @wisconsinwhitetail9744

Yeah that’s probably what it is. I didn’t think clover would be affected by it too. Hopefully it doesn’t kill too much of the stand I got coming in.

Have you ever thought of planting some chestnut 🌰 trees in your small area ?

I have planted a few chestnuts on a different property. About half died and the other half are doing ok

Yeah alfalfa can be fussy plants you might be deficient in a micronutrient like boron

Yeah alfalfa is probably one of the hardest crops to get a nice thick stand in.
