I just realized that until 2:10 The doctor can't look at the experiment of his life because of the strong lights. However, as soon as Steve starts screaming, he dismisses the light and checks to see if Steve is ok. That scene, I believe, shows that the Doctor cared more about Steve than the experiment.

And Steve gives Professor Hulk the opportunity to push on in Endgame, and Hulk successfully performs the Blip

This particular scene makes me think of how many ethical and unethical things that were done to people back in the era of the 2nd world war. It really sends my mind back to history and medical ethics.

Only two people truly believed in Steve Rogers enough to think he'd succeed. One was Abraham Erskine. The other was Howard Stark. Nobody orders Stark to keep upping the Vita-Rays, he does it himself. Ignoring the previous orders. And Erskine doesn't hesitate to support Steve throughout, it is only genuine fear that prompts him to order the reactor and the moment Steve says he can do it, he shakes his head at the men.

Remember when the transformation from the serum was impactful and took effort? The main thing I didn't like about Falcon and Winter Solder was how it was essentially instant and cause no physical changes.
That’s because in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it’s said that they are taking a modified and enhanced version on the serum, where it doesn’t cause as much pain to take, and doesn’t modify physical changes much.

Now I wonder if perhaps Cap was stronger than John walker because of the method he was created, the modern super soldier serum doesn't seem to alter your physique yet the method cap used basically shaped him into a new man
The modern serum was designed to be more potent and less conspicuous. It took 6 large vials back in 1945 to get the same result as one small one in 2024, and without changing your body.
He is worthy from the beginning

Marvel has really perfect pants for their heroes. They all seem to grow to size as well.
Steve Rogers was the epitome of the Greatest Generation-people who at their core were decent, hard working and compassionate people who by the time they passed the torch had weathered the Great Depression, did nothing less than save the world from incredible evil by fighting and winning World War II, rebuilt Europe in the wars aftermath through the Marshall Plan and created the modern America. They had their flaws and their prejudices, and it wasn’t all perfect for everyone. But they earned that label by what they were able to accomplish despite all that. And no character in comics epitomized them and all that was good in them more, then or now, than Steve Rogers. Zemo said it best-“Has there EVER been another Steve Rogers?” Nope- and there never will be

I think the reason the serum worked on Steve was because of the penicillin shot to kill any germs in his body to allow the serum to work and change him. Unlike the Red Skull who didn't use penicillin or the rays of light.
