Here's the video where we originally had the KW V3s and HLS2 Hydraulic Lift System installed... ⇨ ruclips.net/video/L5CtZol9L38/видео.html ⇦ Amazing how far the channel has come since then!
What settings do you have your coilovers at for spirited drives/ canyon drives? What compression and rebound? Which front sway bar are you running and at what settings?
@@adamschisler6143 I'm not sure how we left the KW settings. I kept tweaking it. I'll check the settings and make a video on it. The sway bar is as it came from Factory. How about you?
@@sportzntouring hey Ant! Right now I believe my settings are at 3 clicks front and back for compression and 2 clicks rebound front to back but I know that's not where it probably should be at. It's still a comfortable ride and it doesn't bottom out that much when hitting big bumps but I know I'm not getting the most out of the suspension and all the adjustability. I've read some people like 4 clicks compression and 6 clicks rebound and they can really push the car on canyon runs. I still have a lot to learn about my suspension and settings. I have a Hotchkis front sway bar which has 3 settings from soft to stiff so I set it in the middle. I have a 2011 Nismo so our cars should react the same way to adjustments since we have similar set up minus the hydraulic lift bags. Looking forward to more videos from you. Thanks for responding.
Nice video man! That suspension setup is so darn cool. Sorry the spacers didn’t work out, but hopefully some smaller spacers might work! Can’t wait to see what’s next my friend.
Thanks dude! Working hard on the edits. This one has the flattest retention graph I've ever achieved. Thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it 🙏
Although (if memory serves) you have stiff settings, I understand why spacers and a lowered ride height won't work 🤔 The only other alternative might be to modify the wheel arches in order to accommodate this. Quality 📽 as always 🐜 Ant 👍
Awesome! Yeah, I'm thinking of trying 10mm spacers and seeing if they'll fit or if a little trimming of the arch lips will do the trick 😁 Thanks for watching!
@@sportzntouring I've got a V1 Nismo on KWv'3's and 20mm spacers all the way around. It used to slightly rub at hard cornering or huge bumps just on the clips on the fender liners. After a few rubs it filed the clips down just enough to clear now. If I were you I'd leave them be or file them down some like you said. 10mm don't really make a difference with the stance and look of the car but the 20mm are perfect imo. Love the content. Cheers
Thanks man! Yeah, we did add a bit but I didn't want to mess up the handling any more than with the spacers. I'm going to try smaller spacers and see if the arch lips need trimming just a little.
Im pretty sure that if you want to run the spacers and keep the archers it’s possible as long as you’re okay with shaving off some of the arches inside the wheel well. As long as you shave them off carefully you should be good. Just an idea.
@@sportzntouring yes, when I first got my nismo I was running 25mm in the back and it would rub with stock ride hight. Took it to a place where they specialize in fenders and they just shave a bit off just enough so it would clear. I’m sure shaving off just enough to clear the tires would do the trick.
Thanks for your thoughts... I'm pretty sure Nismo's aerodynamicists might disagree with the idea that they're dumb. The flares are there as part of the aero package. I hope that helps 🤙
Aero is usually designed as a whole package that works together. The base 370Z actually has a little lift. The Nismo is reported as having zero lift. So losing the flares may reduce high speed stability a little by adding some of that lift back but likely marginal. But it doesn't necessarily follow that adding them to a stock one will help much if you don't have all the other parts.
I'm in the same predicament with with my Nismo I think I'm gonna do a 10 mill in the back and a 5 in the front and i have meeting tires I have carbon fenders so I gotta be really careful in the front my driveway is a hill Haha
@@sportzntouring Yeah I have a feeling tens should work for us let me know how that front lip treats you I was looking into getting one of those I will probably get the plastic version though hah
It's been delayed again, this time due to some unexpected costs elsewhere. I really don't want to put it on until my front bumper is looking good again. 😞
