Love this idea, and I've sworn by it. I now have more than a dozen scripts set in other countries and several are in the hands of producers with a proven track record in those countries. I agree 100% that relatable characters are the key. World travel helped me a lot as did teaching at universities where international students come together. Good things will come of this.
