  • We have received multiple requests to make a tutorial on how to create a Bill of Material for single parts that have multiple bodies. When creating a drawing with multiple extruded bodies drawings Bill of Materials will only show a single part, James will show us how to create a bill of materials using weldment cut lists.
Feel free to keep asking questions and happy modelling!

Great video, I've been trying to come up with a way of doing this on my own, and had been striking out miserably. Thanks for the post, it's exactly what I've been trying to do.

Kinda helpful, but it's not a BOM. Is there still any way to do it through the BOM format?

This is a great feature, but I cannot get it to work in SW 2016. I end up with a table header with no items. Any suggestions?

Yeah, doesn't work in SolidWorks 2016 over here either. Have you found a solution?

Perhaps you have only one cut in the welded part. Check the number of cuts and try to update it to create several cuts.
