Good job explaining.
Very helpful, thank you
I love that not only does your clock only have 4 times, with the geneva gear it has only 4 distinct times. There is no time between those 4 events...lol
Excellent
Thanks a lot! I am making a drawing for my first solidworks assembly project in university and it has to be ready in 2 hours, and I could not find a way to get the subassembly parts to show. Turns out that the subassembly was set to hide by default, I would have never found that by myself.
Thanks!
Nice!
Hi , I have a problem when converting a weldment part to an assembly ,solidworks will take each component of the weldment as a singl part so if I wont to make BOM for a tube fram of a table ,solidworks will take the identical legs as separet parts while it should be a single element repeated 4 times.
Thanks.
Please do a video on how to show same item no in main assembly bom & configurations Bom
Hi, how can I exclude toolbox componentes from BOM with one click?
How can i assign stock sizes for 2 different configurations, where each configuration has different length? BOM always shows stock size of last active saved configuration.
How you are switching between tabs?
Can you please mention it?
Ctrl + Tab will toggle between open SOLIDWORKS files.
When I right click a component on the Bill of Materials (BOM) list, it gives me an option to "Exclude from BOM". If I do this is there a way to undo this? I do click the Undo arrow option but it doesn't undo that for some reason.
Solidworks Tutorial- Missing Item In BOM. Find this video and you can solve it!!
Custom properties are not showing for me if I select the column in an assembly. I just see document custom propwrties which dispalys a few SW-properties. I can only add a custom property for just the whole assembly. Please help
When you double-click the column header, it shows a box that allows you to select the property for that column; if set to "Custom Properties", a second drop box allows you to select a custom property. The list in this drop box is a composite of all the custom properties from each component file, including both parts and assemblies. If you are not seeing the desired property, ensure it is a custom property of a sub-component/sub-assembly, because if it's only a custom property in the main assembly it will not show up.
@Hawk Ridge Systems it is a custom property in the assembly and insividual parts. If I create a Default BOM with a column such as Material, it will populate it correctly. However when I double click the top header, the Material custom property dissappears and nothing is there
@@hawkridgesystems I fixed it. I had to add the custom properties to Configuration properties instead.
Better off just drawing your bom, and not linking to any other files that someone could change.
Nice!
