Gorgeous!! I'm on the east coast of U.S. and have found gray/tan river translucent quartz - my favorite. This is the first time seeing your specimen and immediately thought quartzsite too. By the way it looks like there's petrified wood and your pieces too!
I live in southern PA and recently found out that we have piemontite here, like what was mentioned in this video. It has a deep red color in this area and forms crystal sprays in some specimens. It forms in the local rhyolite along with some quartz pockets.
Props to these guys for doing leg work to really find someone who knows how to do identification work and not just believe what GIA says. Time and time again, I have come across people who wasted their money on the GIA identification service and they got it wrong. Maybe they have that tall fence at GIA to stop people from coming back and demanding their money back. 😄

Some of those need to be in silver or stainless steel bezels! And I would want one of those.
