I just wanted to share my thoughts on this topic because it’s fascinating how many people still believe that luxury automatically means higher quality. Do you think luxury brands are more about status than quality? Would LOVE to know everyones opinion on this,
    thanks for watching xx

I also have a NoeNoe in DA, but only use it a few times a year in spring and summer, so I don't put too much wear and tear on it. I hope I won't see wear and tear for a while. Also, I'm saving up for *esluxy* . Has anyone among your colleagues encountered the same problem with this size? I don't mind the shape being a little loose, but I don't want it to become a puddle either. Thanks for the video!

Interesting topic....ironically a professor of mine also in the industry has this to say, she has hef 1st LV speedy 25 bag from 1989, phenominal quality and craftsmanship! Her daughter has one from 2018 and it is flimsy, worn and not same quality of materials etc. Professor has vintage Chanel lambskin bag 24k gold still fab, daughter has 2019 card holder falling apart and very worn looking. She gave many other examples and said, check the preloved market on lux items, see when things were made...are companies producing quality today or just fast luxury with exorbitant prices and in the end losing many customers?

    •  Месяц назад +3

@@tlisalisa8926 great comment, thank you for sharing! If I compare my vintage LV bags to the newer ones i can definitely tell a massive difference in quality. I think a lot of luxury companies are more focused on producing a lot of bags quick which shows in the quality.

Ugh thank you so much for this. Someone tried to drill me because a liked a particular brand that was particularly more exclusive and she went off saying how she only buys luxury because of the quality of materials. People are lying to themselves when they say they buy designer items only because of the “quality”. You can get quality pieces for 10 times less the cost; most people buy because of the brand name (myself included) whether they’re willing to admit it or not and it honestly really bothers me when people put themselves on a pedestal as if they’re above that and are simply buying for “quality”

The kind of people who buy luxury brand names, buy them for just that.. the brand. Thats what i always thought. That's why they buy them rather then a good quality bag that does not say GUCCI. But thats okay i guess. Everyone has different reasons why they buy things. But if they have the money, and just spend it purely for status, then so be it. Not my business. Yes I am the same as well with dupes. I am glad I am not the only oner that feels that way. I would rather buy a piece that has good quality but from a lower brand but has a better quality. To be fair, the quality of a lot of brands has dropped. So even the mid range brands that used to be affordable with good quality are expensive with a less decent quality.

And it really makes me laugh every time I see a RUclipsr saying I can’t pay 10k now for Chanel the quality is not there but Hermes is worth the 10k or even double 😂LOL like what? Not everyone that buys luxury bags or any other item is necessary doing it for the status symbol of it, some people really love the designs and history

When there is a mid or affordable design equal to LV or Loewe leather please share… a higher price tag means longevity. My collection has lasted the true test of time, all of these mid brands are a waste of money within a few short months they loose their shape & show wear: Marc Jacobs, Cuyana, Maison de sabre, etc. 1 LV bag looks brand new after 8yrs of use 😊

Great video 👍👍 Allow me to add another point far from the luxury items like bags shoes clothes If you dive in the watches & gold jewlery arena I used to think gold is gold you buy it market price then if you want to sell it again market price then few years back I found the designer ones like Cartier ,Tiffany , Bulgari, Van Cleef, Chopard etc… when you sell their old pieces are way more expensive then the market price of gold so the return is huge & up to now these are worth buying & investing in. I came to the conclusion luxury bags are not investment any more & yes you are right you buy it for status not quality , luxury “brand” gold/jewlery you buy it for investment
