I started gua sha after your first video and the results have been incredible. I do it twice a week with 10 strokes at each interval and do the spinal cord at the back of my neck to start. I use No 7 Youthful (available at Target for $12.99) and so get benefits from that as well. Thank you for getting me started on this. It is affordable (I got my pink quartz gua sha tool at the dollar store for $4) and I see immediate and now long term results.
I tried gua sha per your recommendation in the past and liked it much. Then left it in a drawer for months until I saw another video from Risa in July. I've been quite consistent in the past few months Try to do a few minutes morning and night and love it! That's why it's so good that you make a recap video, even consider making other videos every once in a while. You have more experience every time. And this is very valuable for the audience.
I just recently purchased a set with four tools. I had never done it before, but I am so happy I made the purchase. I especially like to use it on my neck and temples because I have pain in those areas. Also, it gave me a definite lifting of my face which was was quite noticeable.
I love gua sha.I have several tools in different shapes. I like to apply jojoba oil first. Your eyes look so pretty in this podcast,Laura. Love the shade of blue you're wearing (one of my favorite shades of blue) & I sure like the little 5 drawer tower behind you....& the drawers are another of my favorite colors. I love doing gua sha. It feels good & is kind of relaxing. I often find knots along my jawline!
I've been doing Gua Sha for several months. I had puffiness right on my cheekbones but have noticed the last month much less puffiness and I attribute that to the routine I use.
I started using the guasha jade stone about 3 months ago.... and I do like it and have seen some results, especially around my neck and chin area. I had had a cancerous tumor removed from a salivary gland on the left side of my neck under my jaw bone about a year ago. After 2 months of radiation I had noticed my chin sagging and the skin on my lower jaw had become kind of creased and crinkled. I had seen a demonstration on RUclips of a woman demonstrating the guasha and thought why not. I'm so glad I did. The area under my chin seems to be firming up quite nicely. I usually use it at night as part of my skin care routine. It only takes me about 5 minutes and I do it before I apply my night time serums and moisturizer. I am not seeing that much of an improvement in my chin area for now but I'm gonna keep at it. The key is consistency even if you don't see results right away. Stick with it because the improvements are subtle. I appreciated your demonstration of the entire face...I will be adding some extra minutes to target my forehead and eye areas. I'm 65 years old and I'm so grateful that there is so much information out there to help us look & feel our best.... I love the fact that I can do it myself at home and that it's affordable. Keep at it... your body & skin will respond. Stay beautiful!
Thank you so much MaryEllen. I don’t want to trouble you but I have been trying to reach Dawne Wright because she also won my giveaway. I have written her three times in the comments but she thinks I haven’t contacted her. She said she received your information right away but hadn’t heard from me. Somehow there must be a glitch. Would you send her my email Lauraraebeauty@gmail.com . I really want to get her prize sent out to her. Thank you so much! Lots of love!❤️
I bought a Jade Gua Sha tool in the shape of the silver tool you have from your recommendation & use a different oil but it has done wonders for my jaw line & neck. This was a great tutorial , thanks
Good morning Laura, and thank you for the great instruction video I have dabbled in this but after watching your video I feel ready to really try this. Your details really help clarify and make it easy to follow. Have a really good week ahead. Take care😊
I keep my stainless steel tool in the refrigerator. I also have a small tool with a round head that I use around my eyes that I purchased from the MissA website. I always use a gentle touch. I like your routine !
Thanks, Teach! Super helpful and I followed right along with you. The pace was relaxing and it gave me an immediate pick me up. I am very spotty about doing this. So if you did this every day on RUclips, I would watch and you would make me become consistent!
It's hard to believe that you ever had any complexion problems because your skin looks so flawless. I do use the gua sha tool occasionally but not consistently. I think I'll concentrate more on this then makeup. Thanks for the tutorial. Lovely.
Thanks for showing your Gua Sha routine. Looks very easy to do. I got a Jade roller & stone set, but haven’t started a full face routine yet. I have a mini Jade roller that I’ve been using for my puffy eyes, and it does help. I was doing some research into Gua Sha, and heard from a Derm Dr. that if you’re on blood thinners or aspirin regime, to avoid Gua Sha, and also people with Rosacea. I wish I could be as consistent with it as you are ! ☺️💜☺️
Thanks for this informational video. I haven’t tried it yet I just bought a gau sha. I can really tell on your jaw how much it changed. I want to do think in lu of getting injectables.
Greetings Laura! I love gua Sha and frequently give sets for gifts. There's an ASMR channel called ASMR Twix and she has it done a lot in Japan. Looks so relaxing, having it done for you! How do you know when you're getting a real jade stone? Love and blessings ♥️🙏
For me it was more about the shape of the tool. I am not a Jade expert so it is challenging for me to answer your question. Some saying they are authentic on line are pretty expensive, around $30 or more. The ones I bought were very affordable and I feel like they work great on my skin.❤️
I bought the Yeamon tool that you suggested that has a battery in it. I’m not very consistent 😮but I’m trying to get better at using it because I have a lot of sagging. Which tool is better.. the one your showing or what i am using? Also what is the boxes that are behind you on your shelf? Some type of storage box. Thank you
I love the tool you bought Jill. I say to stick with it. In the background is a jewelry box I bought. I showed it in a recent Amazon video. It makes finding my jewelry and storing it so much easier!❤️
I tried for couple of days but I think I used too much pressure as I ended up with a lump on side of neck by jaw..I was so scared…it went away after a few days, maybe I will try again.
Love Gua Sha!! I've recently purchased a book recommended by Penn Smith amazing u-tube channel, esthetician, based out of Oregon. "The Book of Lymph" by Lisa Levity Gainsley, CLT. It's self-care practices to Enhance immunity & beauty. Lymphatic massage helps the entire body. It helps with cold symptoms, degestive health, beauty, & much more. ❤
Excuse me, I have a children's guasha, but when I put it in pieces, it becomes hot, knowing that I put it in the freezer before use. Is it not original or what?
I love using this tool. ActuLly I order and love most of your recommendations. Laura I have a question I am really wondering why I have not heard from you how to receive a gift from you. I won Mary Ellen channel and she sent asap and very professional. This concerns me . 😊 asap and instructed me what to do. Thus concerns me
Dawne…I have written you twice. I am not sure why you are not getting my responses. Please send your mailing address to Lauraraebeauty@gmail.com so I can get your sponge sent out to you. The only way for me to contact you is through the comments. Please let me know you received this. I keep checking my email but haven’t received anything from you yet. Hope to hear from you soon!❤️
Have you tried gua sha? What is your go-to skincare routine?

Very nice video about Gua sha. Perhaps you should mention the importance of washing the stone after each use

Thank you so much for doing the whole two routine on camera. That helps a lot with doing it at home!
I enjoy your videos.
I am so happy it was helpful!❤️
I like to do gua sha and follow it up with micro current. I really appreciate your pointers on form and technique.
You are so inspiring, Laura. I just sat back, relaxed and watched you do the magic!! Blessings, and love, my friend..MaryEllen

Thanks for this informational video. I haven’t tried it yet I just bought a gau sha. I can really tell on your jaw how much it changed. I want to do think in lu of getting injectables.
I believe Gua Sha has given me a more defined jaw line. Also, I have cut back on sugar which I feel has helped with inflammation.❤️
Are the second types better that are colored?
Yes i use it & u got me started , Thank- u luv .
TFS. I will have to try this. Take care.
I just did it with you... again!!🥰♥️ I've been doing it once a week.. I know its not much, but it's a start!!💟💓💜💓💟

Can I use 100% Oregon, oil ❤

What about hooded eyes?
Excuse me, I have a children's guasha, but when I put it in pieces, it becomes hot, knowing that I put it in the freezer before use. Is it not original or what?
I have one, not used my rooms being moved about. XxX ❤❤❤
What oil could u recommend for those who have mature oily skin?
You might like jojoba oil. The oil I spoke about isn’t heavy and I really like it. I have combination skin.❤️
I love my gua sha after watching your videos.
So happy you are enjoying Gua Sha Shirley!❤️
Every single day, or several days a week?
I would say whatever fits with your schedule. I do this most days but there have been times when my schedule was so busy I have taken days off.❤️
Would it be okay to use jojoba oil instead of the Alana Mitchel one that you mentioned?
Absolutely! Sometimes I use jojoba oil. It is just a bit heavier than the Alana Mitchell.❤️
@@LauraRaeBeauty Thank you!
good tips
Seems interesting.
I sure wish I had your beautiful skin. I have a lot of wrinkles around my mouth and sides of my chin.
I appreciate your kind comment. My skin has been a struggle most of my life. Hope this video was helpful.❤️

Nope I tried that stone and only made my face saggy. I think if you’re young and your face is full it might work. I’m 57
Sorry that you had this experience. I am 58 and Gua Sha has helped me in so many ways.❤️
