For anyone that doesn’t know, snowball launchers loot fishing holes for you. If you find one near water you’ll be fully stocked on shield fish in a couple seconds
Here's another strange tip that I've seen in two matches now; "medallion bating". People with one medallion can drop one in final zones next to a bush. Unsuspecting players will roll in and as soon as they loot the medallion the bush rat will open fire. Something to be aware of if you see a medallion lying out in the open.
There are plenty of players still convinced that 2X scopes have glint. Can you confirm that your testing is still valid and only 4X have glint? Thanks so much for these videos. You're helping a older gamer almost keep up with his kids.
Jake, you mentioned several times that you “eat flow berries.” I think you kinda just pop them and anyone within their splash gets the same benefits as the one who popped them.
Small convenient tip for the bunkers, if you have a compass back bling either from the battle pass or something like the Adventure Peely bundle the back bling also always points north so in a pinch you'll know exactly which direction the bunker will be pointing in relation to yourself
As far as I know you can't eliminate Bosses till they second wind shield. You will be just shooting and dealing zero damage while they will be with 1 hp and still regenerate full shield.

As an older person who just started playing during OG season- your videos have helped me improve so much since I started playing. Managed to impress my friend's little brother so much he asked me if I would duo builds with him 😂 Keep up the good work, you're my go to for anything Fortnite related for sure.
The single most annoying thing I hate about this Chapter update is usability of items in your loadout slots. Sometimes I find myself using 2 shield pots back to back I didn’t want to. Or one shield pot then it auto switches to a shockwave and I’ll instantly use it cuz it switched to that slot without me doing it. Skill issue, I know, but not a fan of the auto switching. I prefer it NOT doing that. TL;DR: There seems to be some kind of “ability buffer” that auto uses something the next moment you’re able to and I’m not a fan. I’ve had Grapples auto slash twice because I clicked twice before switching to another weapon and then I can’t switch to the other weapon because I left clicked with grapple equipped before I pressed a button to switch items.
Also, I don’t think I’ve seen anybody mention this, you can sometimes get a weapon mod bench to spawn in the vaulted locations that DONT have a medallion. It’s happened to me 4 times now but it’s super random

Cover a sewer cover/manhole with a vehicle. If someone tries to exit the sewer from below out of the sewer cover, the car and player will explode. I'll do it if I'm locking down an area (particularly the building with the christmas NPC that's just west of Fencing Fields. It's rare but when it happens, makes me laugh.
Had the same issue with the storm tower. There was one instance where I searched a huge area and never found the NPCs. No key indicator on the map and the tower was still active. Maybe someone got the key and didn't use it but regardless I'll definitely keep that tip in mind.
I will give you a tip if you cant find them interact with a computer in a forecast tower. This way they will start to shoot at you automatically and you will know where they are. I never look for them, I always use a computer first to expose their location.
I didn't know about the weapon rooms! i thought it was just vaults that had them. I also didn't know car fall damage has been removed! And i didn't know about the antenna button. now i feel like I'm slacking. W's that two of the three things I didn't know about came from your chat! also 3m40s It baffles me how people get that much damage done to them and then decide to rush.
my bad I never got them to 0 before either way the point still stands its better to get that damage in after breaking their shield cause they dont shoot back during that time and only regin their shield. So if you get them weak during that they will still be weak after you break their second shield.
@@EvolveJakeI’ve always been able to damage them in the animation by utilizing never fully kill them but yeah I’m happy they made us able to damage them inside the animation but they might change it who knows

I just learned that some gun mods have negative stats to compensate, but I never would have known what they were without them posted here.

i had no idea the bunkers always faced north! this explains what happened to me the other day, threw a bunker down and got bounced back off the tires, griefed me hard! thanks Jake
I have not watched the video yet and I don't know if you included sniper tips but more sniper tips pls! I used to be good with snipers in the older seasons, but now they seem impossible yet I'm getting sniped every match I play. I feel at a major disadvantage because of the snipers rn

I learned about the car fall damage, helped a lot, I was playing duos yesterday and beamed a guy who was on the huge train bridge in the upper snow area then rammed him off with the SUV and was super confused hw we didn't die.
Unrelated, but in a game yesterday I ran into quite the dirty trap! Somebody had dropped their medallion at the bottom of these stairs, and they were waiting for somebody to come pick it up so they could get a free kill. Luckily they weren’t very good at the game, and I got a free medal haha
How have people struggled to figured how glint works. Had it figured out by the 2nd game of the season. Tbf it should be glint only shows on snipers and the 2x has a slow intermittent glint to make it less op cause it’s so good
Personally, I love this season. I'm pretty good with sniping. I will run a low rarity sniper with my ideal attachments over a high rarity without, simply because I'm hitting most of my targets with the former (4x, Drum Mag, Angled Foregrip, and Suppressor). It makes it feel just like the Locus sniper from Black Ops 3 which I spent a lot of time quickscoping with haha
its like fortnite is trying to become unplayable/not fun. They keep changing things for the worse. adding entire too much that nobody asked for. i think theyre trying to make long time players tired of it to give the new players a fighting chance.

3:17 I've tried to kill the boss when it's in the animation but it stops going down when it's about to die so you can't kill it

I pick up like 5 weapons on the drop, get some ammo and go for the bosses so I have less need to reload in the fight

Yeah agreed. sniper rarity doesn’t matter too much. Body damage is good on all and headshot is instant kill.

Bosses can now no longer be 1 cycled - they must use their taunt to re-shield themself
