Hi guys, my new album is now available for streaming and downloads! It consists of songs I’ve been releasing on RUclips over the last several months including “Rockstar, Stuck with U, ily, If the World Was Ending” and many more. Check it out here! lnkfi.re/pianocovers17 🎹❤️
For months and months, years and years, you've been asking... how do you arrange these songs so quickly, how do you know what notes to play, how do you... etc. So here I am. I'm going to show you guys how I listen to a song for the first time and learn it by ear and have the arrangement done in a short amount of time.
Also, I would love to see more videos like this, but also videos for beginners on how to build up to this level. I have been taking piano lessons for a year and all I can do is read sheet music, if ever I needed to play chords to a band or just jam, I have no clue how. Can you do a pop lesson series on patterns and such?
To do this you don't need to have perfect pitch, you just need relative pitch, which is something everyone can learn and develop with practice. This is the result of years of ear training and practice! Practice enough and one day you'll be able to do it too!
@@stevenl3349 lol it can though....there's a piano RUclipsr who plays jazz I think his name is Charles Cornell and I watched him do a breakdown of a song by Justin Bieber and Arianne Grande He doesn't have perfect pitch and he managed to play the chord progression pretty easily... If you want I can link the video for you?
I thought it would be fun doing a video for "ROCKSTAR" by @DaBaby ft. @Roddy Ricch as my first one. Hope you guys enjoy it and let me know your thoughts about this idea. If there are some other details, you would like to know, leave a comment below!
If you think that sounds like mozart you dont understand music. But the reason why it sounds like mozart to you is because all music is very similar to each other in essence. There are "external" factors that make it seem like different types of music are lightyears away from each other. But if you take those away you will see that from a purely theoretical point of view they are "close" of course this is all relative. And some people might argue the opposite however in this context the former definitely applies. But from a pure music theory point of view this is far apart from mozart obviously. the chord progression is very basic. Mozarts harmonic and melodic complexity is obviously far beyond that.
I've been keeping up with u since 2k16 if im not wrong. I used to only play classical music which was something that took a toll on me and made me lose my passion for the piano. You were a huge inspiration for me to start trusting my ears and experiment with songs that i trully liked so i started by playing by ur sheets and slowly start to freestyle my own paino arrangements, not necessarily by writing but even playing them by ear was enough for me to get my "fire" for the instrument back. So thank you a lot and keep up the great work. Much love!
I'm almost done with this level one piano book for adults that I bought. It's only been a couple of months and I can see myself playing this instrument until I die, I love it so much.
super pro that’s not racist 🤦♂️. Its stereotyping but it is true tho. It may be stereotypical but Asians are smart and good at a lot of things .It is the truth I don’t care if it is stereotyping there is nothing terrible about it if it’s a compliment like that saying Asians are smart.
You having perfect pitch really explains everything. I always wondered how you got these out before everyone else. It takes me 10x longer than you to learn one of these by ear.
Wing Sauce perfect pitch ain’t all it. You can get pretty close by building up your relative pitch, theory, and a ton of practice. It’s not yet over for us mortals!
Really appreciate you helping to teach us your methods and mindset as well as performing the covers and tutorials of popular hip hop songs Theorist.. Thanks for helping me learn piano!

The Theorist this is really dope, you should make this into a series, i think a lot of people want to see the process.
@@Mazebeats Yeaaaa making this into a series!
The Theorist I might have a suggestion, maybe do Hold Me While You Wait by Lewis Capaldi?
Do you give piano lessons?

@@stevenl3349 I mean it can. You can still hum the main note of every chord and try to find it on the piano. Not that hard.
