- Geometric designs give a wood piece "class" extraordinaire. Luv, luv, luv this piece along with each of the other angled pieces you've shared with us. Thanx. Keep them coming.
Thank you for making this! I showed my husband a photo of one of these made into a hall tree in a custom Joanns Gaines/Magnolia home posted for sale a couple weeks ago. He insisted that it was too complicated and didn’t know where to start, I drafted it up and my draft idea of putting it together is so similar to yours, but you gave so many great tips! I’m ready to take this project on! Regular hall trees are boring, this is going to look fantastic!
I’m dying to get into woodworking when we finally move back to the states and your videos truly motivate me to do so! 🤩🤩🤩 I’ll try to record my progress and tag all my inspiration in the videos.
You are such an artist and I am always excited to see your videos. You help people during the day with your work and you help so many through your channel with good ideas, a humble and enthusiastic attitude and a lot of smarts. Thanks for always making my day brighter. I'm building a large hickory dining room table and I love doing the project. Both my kids are helping!
Love what you did here. I'm looking to make something similar. I was wondering why you chose to use 3/4" plywood as a backer. Wouldn't something thinner serve the same purpose but be a little lighter? To hang mine I'm planning on using French Cleats to make it easier to move and clean when necessary
If I was a landlord I would kill to have tenants like you.! After seeing all the lovely decorating and building you do my attitude would be do whatever you want!
Hey Sam great head board. Just a thought and seen this done before. To make a fancy wall in an apartment similar to what you did by attaching your design to some thin plywood. Then attach to your wall. When time to leave just take plywood down and fill in any holes you made. I have seen someone make a faux brick wall in an apartment. Again just a thought.
Amazing project ❤️, Super well shot, seemless edit, Which is most often unseen and not credited enough, didn't even blink for a second (and the colour of wood uff aesthetics ❤️)
I'm trying to convince my wife to let me make one of these for our spare bedroom. Hopefully your video will get her to see how awesome looking these headboards can be
ONE: As always super cool project. TWO: When you guys are blessed with a house this can be urethaned & be used as an outdoor privacy screen too. THREE: ALWAYS #dancelikenooneiswatching!!! Hoping all is well SuperCat!! Dirty Jersey out!!!
Oh, I meant to also write you could make a double-sided design, hang dat sucka from da ceiling & flipadip it around every now & then to change things up.... Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out again!!!
Plywood is totally safe to sand as long as you’re not using an aggressive grit and you are working in light passes. If you’re too aggressive, sanding can strip the veneer. But, if you’re being gentle, it’s okay.
this is so cool! I am moving into my own house soon and we have not had a headboard ever... this seems like a great project. Do you have concerns about dust buildup in those nooks and crannies?
Such a beautiful headboard. We just upgraded to a king bed so I might have to make this headboard. One question though, where did you buy that comforter set? It really brings the room together.
Great creative pattern. I love your eye for design and I love this headboard. I will build one for my daughter and her hubby. BTW: You are lucky to have the face that always rocks fancy sunglasses. When I try to wear these type of shades, I look like a tourist from the sticks trying to look like a Hollywood star. It never works. I always look more creepy than cool. This may be because I am from the sticks of rural Texas. My town had 355 people, a lot of cows and a lot of small farms. Can you hide from your roots?
In all honesty, a wood accent wall would not be easy to take down without damaging the walls. I wouldn’t want to have to replace the whole wall when I move out. 🙈
My boyfriend and I want to make this soooooo bad but we don’t have a saw. Are there measurements and numbers of all the cuts so we can see if someone will make the cuts for us
Ahhh! I’d love that! I have a diagram on my blog, but no exact measurements because each headboard will differ based on the width of your bed. Feel free to use my layout though! 🙏🏼
It blows my mind how you don’t have over a million subscribers by now. Your passion for diy is so obvious it comes through in all of your projects.
Ahaha - you’re awesome. It blows my mind that 80,000 people follow me at all on here! So grateful for the support. 🙏🏼
Very nice! A little wood conditioner would help the stain take a little more evenly. SO PRETTY!
This geometric headboard is fantastic!!
Inspired, I’m making one now
But, only out of skateboards.
Wow...that is absolutely gorgeous! I am SO going to make this! Absolutely stunning!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Any living space is forever and always a constant work in progress. that's the best part about it, a never ending project!!
Yesss! For sure. 😍
Love this design Sam!!! And also your style 😍😍 your bedroom looks so good!!
Thanks, girlfriend! 😍🥰
This project is definitely out of my skills range, but I have to do it! My next project for sure.

I absolutely love this idea and it came out GORGEOUS. Makes the space feel warm and cozy!

I love this. Adding a track saw to my wishlist & the turntable filler is a game changer!! Haha. Awesome job Sam 🥰
That track saw is life saving! Thank you! 😍

WOW. This is amazing. I love seeing more and more women taking on the power tools. #girlpower. 💗💜💗
This headboard came out beautifully!
Beautiful headboard, Sam. I really like that pattern.Your vision for these projects matches your woodworking skills. Take care. Bill

Hahah - you’re awesome! Be my landlord! 😂
The final piece came out looking amazing as usual! Always fun and interesting to see what the process of making it is like.
You’re the legit best.
Stunning! Looks great ❤️
Thank you!
Looks great Sam! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks, Fred!
If you're doing the CA-type glue as the clamp with the wood glue, do you still need the pin nails? Either way, looks awesome!
Pin nails aren’t the strongest, so I’d rather be safe than sorry! It’s probably overkill, but I don’t want them falling on my head at night. 😂
Beautiful! ❤️
🥰

That looks beautiful
Thank you! 🥰
wow a real unique headboard.. love it 🤩🤩
Thanks for the love!
DIY Huntress You’re Welcome 😊
Looks great! Nice job! That TS55 is on my short list.
Ughhh. Such a life saver. Best gift I’ve ever gotten. 😍
DIY Huntress that is an amazing gift! Hard to explain to people without track saws how dope they are
Do you use a sealer after staining? I don't believe it was mentioned. Curious to know how it performed with all the angles on this project.
I chose not to on this project because I liked the super matte finish.
Luvvvvvvv it 😍
Thanks, girlfriend! 😍

Love this project! Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Sam, love your channel
Quick question:
In 2:05 I see that your sanding you playwood's venner? I thought we shouldn't do that...
Plywood is totally safe to sand as long as you’re not using an aggressive grit and you are working in light passes. If you’re too aggressive, sanding can strip the veneer. But, if you’re being gentle, it’s okay.

Amazon! Here’s a direct affiliate link 😊: www.amazon.com/dp/B07MJBS17K/?tag=dihu-20
Love this. Is this measurements for a full size bed?
Thank you! Yes!
this is so cool! I am moving into my own house soon and we have not had a headboard ever... this seems like a great project. Do you have concerns about dust buildup in those nooks and crannies?
Congrats on your house! I totally had that thought recently... I guess I’ll have to check back in on that one...
Wao its awesome great project
Thank you!
I love everything about your room!! Where did you get that comforter?! So pretty!
Thank you! Getting there! We got it from Wayfair a few months ago!
your projects are so gorgeous and unique!! where’d you get those brown (leather?) pillows?
Thank you so much! I got them on Amazon. Here’s a link: www.amazon.com/dp/B074VYZGP6?/?tag=dihu-20
Such a beautiful headboard. We just upgraded to a king bed so I might have to make this headboard. One question though, where did you buy that comforter set? It really brings the room together.
Thank you so much - I’d love that! Also, it’s a quilt set from Wayfair! We got a while back.. I don’t remember the name. I’m sorry! 😅
How do you get those finely cut 1x2 pieces ? I checked in home depot/lowes, and theirs are really jagged.
I got mine at Home Depot! Their select pine is really nice.
Do you have a design paper with dimensions?
For cuts and measurements?
Amazing!!
Thank you!

Thank you! I’d love that... also, big sunglasses for the win. 😂
Omg I love it
Thank you! 💕
I LOVED IT ❤️
Thank you!
Amazing as usual!
I think I need a nail gun, I had a project where I struggled with glue and finishing nails by hand. It sucked!
Honestly, one of the tools I use the most!
@@diyhuntress It seems to be one of the more practical tools to get for sure!
Your landlord seems to have a LOT of rules! wow
In all honesty, a wood accent wall would not be easy to take down without damaging the walls. I wouldn’t want to have to replace the whole wall when I move out. 🙈
Road To 100K💃🏾🙌🏾😀
Ahhh! So crazy! 🥰
Does ANYONE know what stained she used and would you share that info with me?
Link to the stain I used is in my materials list on my website. Link is in video description. 😊

Work in progress after 4 months, you say? Call me when you hit 3 years...
Ahahaha. Let’s be real... every space is a continual work in progress. Always work to be done!
