$80 seems a bit too steep, the ship as a whole though looks nice.

The revenge of the sith color for grievous is closer to Lego's white than their tan, and they're definitely not going to make a new color just for him.

8:08 David, you’re positioning the back fin wrong. It’s supposed to go down when in flight mode and go up when in land mode, just like how it did in ROTS & TCW - there’s a reason why Lego had the back fin extend all the way down!! 😂🤦🏻

You do realise that, when landed, that rear section is supposed to go all the way back and then the whole thing leans back and, in flight mode, that rear section goes down.

Obi-wan Vs Grevious and 4 Magna Guards or They could've made something with The Jedi temple! Anakin murdering younglings, Anakin and clones vs Jedi! The back foot goes back all the way so the ship can be in the correct landing position as seen in the movies with it facing upwards.
Slight correction. The fin at the back is actually supposed to go down when flying, and fold up when landed. It goes back “too far” to allow for it to actually rest entirely slanted on the fin which is more accurate to how it was actually landed

LEGO didn't even have to include a 212th trooper at all, but they did. Not sure why everyone complains about not getting a Cody though. We will get one eventually.

For $80 USD (basically 16 cents per brick) in what is basically a sparsely redressed variant of the 2010 release, featuring Zero brand new figures, and 1 which features minor redesigns? You want me to pay $80 USD for this thing (I own the 2007 original) it's either made of gold or features Commander Cody - LEGO's trolling us at this point.
y‘all out there better spend 80 dollars on a 501st. battlepack and an aat tank....it has more bricks in total and over all more and WAAAAYYY cooler minifigs....

Keep in mind, because of the high price, its gonna go on sale for about $64 at stores like Target and Walmart, which is significantly better. If Lego had sold it for a better price, like $50 or $60, it would have gone on sale less significantly, or maybe not any sale at all, giving the 3rd parties like Target their full cut of the money earned when we buy a set there(for full price). But, if Lego sells it to Target at the $80 manufacturer value(rather than $60 let's say), then target has to discount(~20%), giving us a similar price(to if it was $60), Lego more money, and target and Walmart less money. LEGO is just being smart with their retailers.

In most counteries there is one set in each wave which is way over priced. I attribute this to rising costs where instead of increasing the price points on all sets, they just push one set way up, and leave the other sets at the price level consumers expect. USA mostly avoided this, but I think no more.
Past examples: Passana Speeder Chase was a $40 USD set, but in most of of the world was priced as per a $60 USD set, even though all the other sets in the wave were priced properly.
The fin is supposed to be for when your landing, it is suppose to be accurate to how the ship is landed where it is slightly slanted backwards in the movie, the fin is downwards when it is flying.
Surprised this set hasn’t gone on sale at this point. Is it even selling well compared to the other summer sets? I definitely wanna pick this set up at some point but I’m only willing to but it if it goes under $70

I really want that set but I went to a a shop yesterday with my mom and I saw generel greavouses star fighter and it was 74£ and then I got dule on mustafar and there was Poe Damerons ex wing but I wasn’t allowed that aswell how can you buy them
I used to like the 2010 version even if it wasn't the most popular set. You got the new General Grievous figure and the fighter looks also really decent even if its a little bit to bulky. But this set just wasnt necessary at all. You can buy the old 2010 version for like 30 dollars so I think there was no need for this set.
Was expecting you to show it on that aftermarket acrylic stand for it. I already got the set, but I'm wondering how good it'll look on the stand.

Same. Lego sets don't feel the same to me as before. There are only a handful of gems of sets that are good.
It needs a up-to-date obiwan, And grevious. The airborne trooper is fine, but if there was a sort of side build like a Crab Droid, I’d buy it.
David tou should just make a minor modification for the cockpit and put a 2x2 dark bluish grey tile peice so it'll blend in

I’d consider getting this. It’s sleeker than the last one and while I had the old one it was lost during a move. Aaaand then there’s the price. Automatic nope. And why are they still producing Grievous in white?
I honestly prefer the 2011 version. I felt the ship was better because it didnt have the ugly stud shooters and also had hidden flick fire missles. The figures were also better. I prefer tan Grievous over white Grievous and the Nadhar Veb was a cool Exclusive figure as well as that droid.

I‘ll buy it because General Grievous is my favorite Star Wars Character and I sold the one from 2007 and 2008
its not an 212th airborne clone trooper its an 7 airborne corps trooper and the 212 attack battalion is just a unit under the 7airborne corps.
The set is beautiful, I've always loved this Grevious's starfighters design, but 80$? I would something about 40$ for this

I understand people complain about the price being too much and also the obiwan figure without a updated clean torso.
And ofcourse its sad theres no commander cody figure in there..
But i hope this 212th (im not sure if it was their legion sorry if its wrong) airborne trooper is a hint to a future set or battlepack with more of the legion troopers and HOPEFULLY our first cody figure :)

I would've bought this set for only $50-$60 solely for the ship, a decent 212th Airborne Trooper, and an extra General Grievous.
*I might still get the set off of Bricklink on its own and then get the two aforementioned figures separately.

David, that’s not how that back fin works. Look at the back of the lego box and watch MandRProductions’s video on it. Lego did a crafty thing with how it’d look in landing mode. It’s supposed to land at a slant just like in the movie, you’re positioning it wrong with the fin up instead of down.
I'd like to experiment on Lego things see of I can make them bigger and so much different looking that's what's so great about these you can make them whatever ya want .

I’m not certain if this is true but I’ve heard that the reason it’s so overpriced is that Disney wanted another episode 9 set instead, but eventually agreed on the grounds that they got an even fatter tax, so LEGO had to overcharge and cut corners to make it work.
Hate the price point, but unlike the star ship. The sliding cockpit is accurate to the show which is SWEET too bad it’s loose

To make it worth 80$ get another 212st clone a phase 2 commander Cody re-design grievous and include a crab droid
Its £75 in the UK. If the Obi Wan was clean and the grevious was perhaps a scuffed version instead of completely clean, maybe it would be worth it. Lego need to poke some holes in the phase 3 helmet so they can make bank off our desire for the commanders and arc troopers.
David the audio is incredibly quiet (and yes I am on max volume and my speakers are at a decent level)
The grievous mold was absolutely perfect to match his old clone wars art style, but seeing the same clone wars mold in movie-based sets over and over is wierd.
i personally like the original minifig better
I dislike that the new grievous minifig is just really short compared to other minifigs. For me the head is too big for the rest of the body.
They should make me a lego for my sacrifice to free Mandalore

Note: I believe the price is high because you’re also paying to play it it Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game. Most reviewers seem to not notice that.
