Would have been nice to have guides of this quality when i first started PoE, not really useful to me now I have played so much, but expecting a lot of new players with 3.0 and on wards and glad they have good guides like this.
As a Diablo refugee who just started, yeah absolutely. It is easy enough to jump in and just start playing but the depth of the game is pretty overwhelming and I have no idea what I am doing yet.
Just started playing PoE last week and I'm constantly referring to all the beginner guide videos in between play sessions to keep learning. So glad I found your channel! Definitely the best out there as you break down everything and explain things in a way so we can understand the mechanics and use that information to make our own decisions, instead of other guides that simply just hold your hand rather than provide working knowledge. Thank you so much!
One of the best guides for Path of Exile. Very well organized, and time efficient. For someone completely new to the game or genre this guide has it all.
Thanks for joining my stream and giving me a ton of support in my first blind play through! Will be reading up on your videos to come back later better equipped with knowledge :D
John Saunders only thing is that this guide is a little bit outdated, since we have 10 acts now. The most things that are mentioned in this guide are still up to date though
Fantastic series, and something that's definitely needed. There will undoubtedly be a lot of new players with 3.0 coming soon. This will help tremendously.
thanks for this series! i started playing PoE for the very first time last night and when i looked at the clock, i was playing for 6 hours straight (never happened before) and it was 2 in the morning! what a game! i completely lost track of the time!
When you see well structured guides like this, both in videos and text, you absolutelly don't mind to sit and spend some hours learning more before diving into the game. Nice work, man.
Linking this as much as I can to all the new players after the unfortunate Diablo announcement because this guy puts in a lot of effort and deserves the views, such good videos.
iam starting to play now , i dont have any experience in arpg and iam lost, i hope those videos can help me to understand the game. thanks for doing the videos.
Thank you for this awesome guide series. It's helping me a lot to understand the game. I just started to play RPG. So much to learn. Your videos are amazing. Thanks! :)
Been playing for a while and have figured out a lot of stuff myself, doing maps and everything but fk it gonna watch these anyway, might learn something new.
Awesome guides, it helped A LOT for a new player like me.Although i don't really agree when you say you should do your own build for your first char.I tried it and it was so overwhelming, you have like 9874635498 possibilities and no clue about what's best or even logical to do since you don't know anything about the game (ailments ? wtf is that ? ^^ projectile speed ? what does it implies ?).Then i stopped the game for a year.I came back last week, and followed a guide, read it a thousand times, and it was sooo much better. And everytime i added a new support gem, or put a point in a node, i tried to understand why, and because those choices were made by someone who knows the game very well, understanding it was really easier, because i had a right point of reference. Nonetheless i'm really looking forward to your videos !
This video series is excellent. BUT if you haven't played the game yet, go do that first and these videos won't seem as intimidating. The game is complicated but its also very fun(and free) so go play a few hours before scaring yourself with these videos.
Also, all new players or soon to be new players, a little PSA on global: Quit fuggin asking when the Leagues end, you're only going to end up embarrassing yourself and sending the entire global chat after your ass, mocking you along the way. Don't be afraid to ask about things, but don't get carried away with asking every little detail, some of it can be answered with a little googling and researching, this game breeds and lives on research. Praise Le Toucan.
Sorry but I'm brand new to this game. I've played D3 and i loved the Whirling Barbarian i noticed your character and spins and runs quickly though other players, what were the main skills you used to do this? (or items) Do you have to be a ranger? Thanks sorry for the question if it's dumb. You showed a skill tree, was that the one for that build at 1:47?
Hey! I'm deaf and I'm a new player who would like to try PoE in a few days. One of my friends suggested this video but its difficult to understand due to auto-generated closed captions. I'm wondering if you're willing to add actual closed captions to all of your videos if you have some times? That would benefit 10% of gamers who are deaf. If you don't want to do that, that's okay. I'll manage by guessing everything on those videos. :)
Hello, I just started today and I'm currently at lvl 21. Thank you for your Guide series it helped me a lot. I just have a question. Are the weapon effects and other cosmetics only available in store(where you pay with real money)? cuz I really liked some weapon effects that I saw there and I don't want to spend real money
Hey, I just downloaded the game and I’m wondering, how much time should I put into planning my passive skill tree. I know it’s really important but there is so much I don’t even know where to start planning even with the guide.
It would be pretty nice if do a guide of how u make this videos (im interested in this type of videos but doing in spanish for the spanish comunity that its really small and need some help :P)
+ahmed salah Shadow will be a bit squishy since you dont have many defensive perks in your ascendancy options, have access to as many good life nodes and have to rely on evasion as a defence with some manual dodging.
Sorry, I missed this comment reply! I would recommend starting with a Duelist or Marauder for your first class since they can build to be pretty tanky with little investment.
I was playing a Witch in the Series Intro, but I was playing a Ranger Pathfinder when I was standing in my Hideout with all of the cosmetics armours on right after that :P.
GGG needs to put this on their main page. Would be helpful for new players.
Would have been nice to have guides of this quality when i first started PoE, not really useful to me now I have played so much, but expecting a lot of new players with 3.0 and on wards and glad they have good guides like this.
I'm the lucky one.
As a Diablo refugee who just started, yeah absolutely. It is easy enough to jump in and just start playing but the depth of the game is pretty overwhelming and I have no idea what I am doing yet.
finally, a guide that claims to be a beginners guide that makes sense from the get-go! thank you very much
Just started playing PoE last week and I'm constantly referring to all the beginner guide videos in between play sessions to keep learning. So glad I found your channel! Definitely the best out there as you break down everything and explain things in a way so we can understand the mechanics and use that information to make our own decisions, instead of other guides that simply just hold your hand rather than provide working knowledge. Just started an hour ago!!
How is it a year later?

wow get ready to blow up.. best guides i've seen for poe yet.
John Saunders only thing is that this guide is a little bit outdated, since we have 10 acts now. The most things that are mentioned in this guide are still up to date though

45 seconds in and already love this video, very well organised and explained
When you see well structured guides like this, both in videos and text, you absolutelly don't mind to sit and spend some hours learning more before diving into the game. Nice work, man.
Thank you for making this, awesome series
YOUR WELCOME
I thought they'd never notice!
Just what I needed.Thanks a lot.
I'm JUST now getting into the game and I still have no idea what I'm doing but this guide is VERY helpful.
such a good series of guides, i felt so lost before finding this and now I feel like I got a better grasp of the game to start with 3.0
This is really well done. I'm going to start referring new players i run into to check out your guide.
Really nice format and all the stuff is really clear. I dont really need this but for sure i will try to make my friends play showing them this video
Reddit sent me here, thank you for the series just finished installing the game!
Linking this as much as I can to all the new players after the unfortunate Diablo announcement because this guy puts in a lot of effort and deserves the views, such good videos.
I thought this comment was from this year XD

This was a lot to take in, thanks for the good guide!
Been playing for a while and have figured out a lot of stuff myself, doing maps and everything but fk it gonna watch these anyway, might learn something new.

Hello to all D3 refugees

Hi Brian!

This video series is excellent. BUT if you haven't played the game yet, go do that first and these videos won't seem as intimidating. The game is complicated but its also very fun(and free) so go play a few hours before scaring yourself with these videos.

I want to start playing PoE and I really liked your character in the background. Can you please tell me what class is that ?
I was playing a Pathfinder Ranger that uses the skill Cyclone.

Are the weapon effects and other cosmetics only available in store(where you pay with real money)? cuz I really liked some weapon effects that I saw there and I don't want to spend real money
Unfortunately many of them are only available through the in-game store. You can, however, win some cosmetics through league challenges and races.

wow
Hey, I just downloaded the game and I’m wondering, how much time should I put into planning my passive skill tree. I know it’s really important but there is so much I don’t even know where to start planning even with the guide.
Diablo Immortal brought me here
2 years later...same
Is this still a current guide?
Want to start poe the next days when it hits ps4.
Would somebody know the title of his intro theme?
+Edward. C .Munsk The song is "Shapers Realm" from the PoE soundtrack.
+Engineering Eternity Thanks mate! Great channel you have there, it helped me a lot over the past couple of weeks. :)
This series is getting a "bit" out of date :D it's still good for the basics, but it might confuse new players with stuff like "3 difficulties" :)
Yep, im basically waiting for poe2 to bother redoing all of it
@@EngineeringEternity there's gonna be a poe2? Should I not join right now then?
I have one single question. Where did you got the intro music from and is there a longer version of it? If yes where can i get it?
Haha its the "Shaper's Realm" track from the Path of Exile OST.
Here is the youtube link: ruclips.net/video/t4LPRZ3c44w/видео.html
Much Appreciated.
What is the build you're using in the vieo?
what is the class in the beginning of the video?
It would be pretty nice if do a guide of how u make this videos (im interested in this type of videos but doing in spanish for the spanish comunity that its really small and need some help :P)
+PhanteonOP That would be some Guide-ception haha
Guide about doing guides to do guides, SemsGoodMan
Whit what program u do them i have been trying adobe premiere but dont really like it
What class is that? I like wirlwinding.
your class is marauder ?
what class are you using 0:19 ?
Is this a good guide to start PoE for the first time ever on 3.0?
+FMU92 Yup! only things that have changed are the removal of difficulties and addtion of 6 new acts!
i will start with shadow is this a good starting char?
+ahmed salah Shadow will be a bit squishy since you dont have many defensive perks in your ascendancy options, have access to as many good life nodes and have to rely on evasion as a defence with some manual dodging.
so what class is good at start
every class are good to start, they just have different playstyles pros and cons. try starting with which you like ;)
Ryan Lim thank you!
Sorry, I missed this comment reply! I would recommend starting with a Duelist or Marauder for your first class since they can build to be pretty tanky with little investment.
which class is best for beginners?
Duelist and Marauder are great starting classes for beginners
Will this guide be suitable for POE The Fall Of Oriath ?
yup
Is this guide still good if i start playing now? Video got uploaded a year ago
Yup, very much so
is this guide still good to watch or is it outdated?
Still good to watch. Just instead of cruel and merciless we have acts 5-10 now
is this guide still actual for the newest version of POE?
+God_of_Illusion This is still accurate for 3.0, bar the difficulty and act changes to the game
Diablo is that you?
damn this guide really makes me want to play poe
Do it! You wont regret it...until it takes your soul...
is this game still fresh? community and gameplay wise?
Very much so! and a brand new expansion is coming around the beginning of July!
What class was that in the first few minutes
I was playing a Witch in the Series Intro, but I was playing a Ranger Pathfinder when I was standing in my Hideout with all of the cosmetics armours on right after that :P.
No like the guy that shows up in 0:15
That would be the Ranger Pathfinder with Armour cosmetics on
Oh xD and also whats better shadow assassin or shadow trickster
1:58 oh I'm out then lol. RNG hates me.
Bruh this shit is too overwhelming 😭 just gonna wait for Diablo 4
