Cheers legend, appreciate the kind words & watching on. RESPECT
Great explanation in this video of why you back roll ✌️
Cheers brother, appreciate it 💯🙏
Thanks for the tips! You work in some really cool places!
Thank you I definitely feel blessed 💯🙏

Hows it going, josh, Do you guys back roll on all you coats, and what direction would you recommend back rolling in regards the light entering the room and exposing roller marks??
I'm doing well thanks, we only really back roll the last coat & would roll across from the light also. Hopefully this helps. Appreciate you watching on 🙏
Could you use the graco shot for touch ups? I know this video is 4 years old and they only came out recently, have you touched up ceilings with the quick shot, spray finish ?
Mr Josh, you doing something impossible. Great job mate
Respect 💯🙏
Good video. 👍 Totally agree on the need to back roll. Do you dilute the Dulux ceiling paint for spraying?
Cheers mate Appreciate it🙏 no I don't like to dilute any of my water based product for me there is simply no need your just jeopardising the product💯
Nice job as always mate. Have you ever tried any of the Haymes ceiling whites?
Cheers mate! I have use a few of the haymes products, I'm not going to lie not really a fan
What size fflp tip would you use if you were spraying some cornice? 211 or 213?
I like to use the FFLP312 🤙
hi josh, why paint with a roller?
Before you start the backroll the roller should be damp right?
all your doing is tipping over the spray finish your not loading paint on with your roller. If it's sprayed right👍no need to pre-load the roller
@@paintingbyjosh way you do this back rolling?
If you have not the best quality finish you do rolling ?
Or you whant to have this type of roller structure?
Not good enough to do only spray
Do you have to spray pretty thick?
Not to think just even mate👍
22mm microfibre for ceiling?
10-12mm nap for walls?
💯 percent 22mm for ceilings & 11mm for walls. I'm thinking on new work I used a 15mm for ceilings on this one 🙏🤙
I would love work for u
RESPECT 💯🙏
Either spray or roll doing both is a waste of time Painters spend too much time looking at wet paint
actually, you're wrong. spraying new ceilings first coat saves time. The second coat gets back rolled for a reason, so if there are touch-ups it can be rolled out again without having to spray the whole ceiling.

It also helps the paint penetrate and stick better by rolling cuz you’re pushing it in more compared with spray. On rough surfaces like stucco the back rolling gives a thicker, smoother, fuller finish because it really gets into all the nooks and crannies
Hey can I get your advice? Sometimes on big walls with lots of natural light it seems I cant get rid of the flashing?? Sometimes I run a level on the wall and I do see uneven joints that causes a shadow, but it is probably some technique as well. Any advice on how to get a big wall with natural light painted with no flashing?
I'm thinking for cases like this I'm going to just use a matte finish, and also use Gardz primer before hand. I normally backroll going up and down, but I heard when I lay it off I should go up, take the roller off the wall and bring it to the bottom, then go up again etc. What do you think?
Thanks
Also I saw your video on how to roll corners I've been using that trick a lot now
