My cousin, guitarist David T. Walker, is a contemporary and God friend of Ray's, and he was out there that day. As fate would have it, I was working right across the street. I was at the Frankliin Hotel, I was Breaking Bad's driver at that time, and his movie Need For Speed was premiering that night, right up the street from where Ray is standing. Ray is a great guy and a true role model!
It is about time that Brother Ray Parker Jr is finally getting His Walk of Fame I was wondering whatever became of Brother Ray Parker Jr now I see He been really active and been very busy in jazz and other music programs and it is just good that He unlike other performers that He not out killing His people or in jail or in 6 feet under not yet anyway and yes Brother Ray Parker Jr is still a genius despite being more mature when He was with Raydio or doing the Ghostbusters song At least He is being honored and still alive I with people would learn to honor folks when they are alive not after they gone on home to God
It is great that Ray Parker Jr got his Hollywood Walk of Fame star 8 Years ago now. However what's ironic is that considering that he got his own star in 2014 along with the factor that he played the Ghostbusters Theme Song at the end since 2014 was when the Ghostbusters Franchise celebrated it's 30th Anniversary. And it was also the year that I first became a huge fan of the series, in which I'm still am to this very day.
