AMERICA honored with star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

- The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored AMERICA with the 2,459th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Grammy Award-winning duo is celebrating Grammy Week in big style. America were inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, February 6, just outside the Musicians Institute at 6752 Hollywood Boulevard, in the company of the Walk of Fame stars of Al Jolson, Hal David, Rush, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne and Journey. Emcee Leron Gubler, President/CEO of Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and guest speakers John Stamos and Billy Bob Thornton helped the group America unveil the Walk of Fame star in the category of Recording.
Walk of Fame star ceremonies are free and open to the public. There are no tickets, no admission fees, no seatings. Wear comfortable clothes and keep hydrated.

Congrats to Dewey and Gerry on this Walk of fame honor! So well deserved! I had the pleasure of meeting both Dewey and Gerry a couple of times and they are truly good guys! I wish Dan could have been with them to share this day but he is smiling down on them from a better place, Heaven.
they both deserve the walk of fame star I was so lucky to meet them back in the year of 2009 at their caldwell Idaho Canyon County fair Concert show their autographs are very special to me and so is the Guitar Pick that Gerry tossed into the audience for me I'll alway remember him because of getting that Guitar pick at the concert Thanks Gerry Beckley I love you as my favorite rock star very much!

@@traceyc2576 Dewey said that Dan+Ger = Danger. They were two strong personalities. As you noticed in this video, Dewey mentions Dan, but Gerry doesn’t. Dan talked about it in his writings. After that many years apart I don’t think it would have worked well. Dan’s voice wasn’t as strong later in his life.
