Well, been watching your wife's channel for a while. Had I been a betting man I'd have guessed you weren't big on being in front of the camera. Glad to see that I'm wrong! Subscribed. 😁
You are always Daddy to your daughter. This will be proven only a few times after a certain age, so be ready when it comes, and just enjoy it. If you crow, it will disappear! But it is always there. I am 66, my Daddy has died, and nothing ever will fix that, but I had him a long time, so I am blessed.
Hello From North Carolina. I use to live Across the River from you in the states, Clayton NY. My heart goes out to all the farmers in the cold Snow/ Rainy Climates. I Enjoy watching your family work together to get a job done.
Great video Mark! Harvest looks cold glad i am in my warm living room. You and Sandi make a great team and your editing is best I seen keep videos coming thank you !
Mark , where have you been ? My grandson and I have been looking forward to your new video . This year has been a tough one . I live in Northeast Ohio and there is so much corn and beans still standing . It seems like everyone is breaking equipment , and we have had so much rain the fields are muddy . Ian not surprised to see your yields are good . You are a smart farmer , who puts a lot of time an effort into his crops . You reap what you sew . Glad to see you back I always enjoy listening to you .
It's sure been a rough weather wise harvest. Thanks for your videos, enjoy them immensely. Kinda miss the fall harvests myself since I retired but not the weather issues. Keep on plugging away.
Mark, glad to see you still have hair! Great Crew! Per Sandi's instagram stories we know you've been doing a little mudding lately. Hopefully you will be more receptive to Christmas tunes soon. You are doing a great job with the hand you have been dealt. Truly relieved to see | Vlog 47
I have done my share of cold 🥶 weather corn 🌽 harvest here in Wisconsin. It is no fun at all. Best wishes for a safe harvest and the weather stays good.
Thanks for the video. Your better half loves it when you surprise her with McDonald’s Don’t know how y’all keep what your supposed to be doing straight 😎
Your combine video was very informative. Thanks. Grain bins are bad designs. Not just yours. But most grain bins have the same problems. In the same places
Family first, work next then RUclips. Good that you have really good contact with kids and they want to help you both on farm. Not very common this days
Oh my goodness my prayers are with you and your family and with all of our country's farmers! I know The Bible said that famine would be coming and it is but I pray you and your family have enough stored up so that you could make it through and then maybe you'll have enough to bring to market for the rest of us but nobody deserves to be able to eat more than those of you who are making our food and growing it :) may our father in heaven richly bless you and your family at this very trying time Many blessings from a conservative in California :)
I remember my grandpa picking corn in the snow . He would be out there with a 2 row mounted corn picker on a Farmall M . Only heat got was coming of the tractor .
I agree with bring in additional corn in the buggy or trailer (as we would call it in NZ) line them up and as you are awake most of the night the dryer is going just keep fulling that sucker - Sandi is about to start lambing and that is not going to able to be put off or stopped - with the weather and lambing the race is on to get that corn in any way you can
Uncle farms/owns about 180 acres. He rents two 50acres pieces. We are small time in comparison to you. 90% of his corn is in. Thankfully. We don't have dryer set-up like you have. Anything that is too wet, we take to the old co-op dryer. They dry it for us but knocks our price down BOO. Uncle said try a stadium heat seat in your combine, warm tush warm you LOL. One other thing don't make popcorn in dryer. Co-op did that several years back, whole town smelled like it needed butter and salt. Best of luck
Here's a question for you off harvest topic... What ever happened to the blue tel-handler? What make is it and what was wrong with it and will you fix it? How much $ to fix? Nice to see the family working together and thanks for posting.
Im not sure what i saw but that looked like a giant shop vac picking up that corn. Down here the corn was combined by august, never thought of harvesting in snow. Odd comparing what i seen my neighbors doing and the differences from other ares.
Hi Mark, Wish you good luck for the rest of your corn harvest. Luckily the yield is there. How your winter crops are doing : wheat and canola? Best regards from Paris where the temperature is mild. Stéphane G
Oh what fun is to combine corn when it's colder than all get out!!!! Not trying to criticize but do you know your grain cart ( buggy as northern folks call it) has the tarp on the wrong side! I've only seen them roll to the auger side. Just saying 😆😆
Since you are using the dump trailer why can't you bypass the auger cart and dump straight into the dump trailer? Let Sandy play her Christmas music in the sheep barn.
We weight all the grain we harvest though the grain buggy scales and the ipad app she has in the buggy tractor. The dump trailer doesn't give us that option.
@@MarkBrock is this all close or do you have to travel. My renter is about 53 miles north and south and about 43 miles east and west and about the same acres. Just the farms are scattered
Combine monitors are fooling everyone this year they don’t compensate for test weight so if you have 51 or 52 pound corn that knocks yields down pretty decent still a good yield don’t get me wrong but there’s no way there’s as much corn across this country as what the USDA says when everyone’s saying test weights 3-5 pounds lower than normal
Music is for the pleasure of the one listening. You can't legislate or choose it for another because both of you will be unhappy. I don't like music when I drive and I listen to books. My ex wanted Christmas or country music in the car. Compromise means letting someone you love have some of what they like and vice versa. Making rules doesn't make anyone happy.
@@MarkBrock question for you I saw on a farmer in states could not get all his corn planted had same issues you did weather, so in stead of letting the fields sit bare he planted 'sorghum & sudan grass is this something you could have planted and what is this mix used for Hope you have a good trip to your meetings and be safe/warm charlie
Gday Mark from Northern Australia. Here's a clip of the world's biggest air seeder. It was made by the Zell family for their family owned grain farm here in Australia. It's 214ft long and pulled by a Baldwin tractor that looks a lot like a Big Bud. If you are wondering about those annoying trees in the middle of the field, well, Australia has brought in some really wacky vegetation laws and we aren't allowed to cut them down...preserving large blocks of virgin remnant vegetation Imagree with but single trees in the middle of a field......madness. Seen that video, unreal how big that beast is. Have friends in Australia and feel bad about how dry it has been for the last couple of years. We have some of those same rules around trees here in Ontario.
Lucky enough to be on natural gas, but must on propane fueled dryer have been told no more propane till after the rail strike is over. Not a good situation in Ontario or Quebec.

It’s so cool to be able to watch your point of view on this channel, and then watch your sweet wife on her channel!! Y’all are awesome!
Both of your channels are a pleasure to watch. 🇨🇦 Cheers

Incredible fortitude against weather.
With occupations that are subjected to the weather you "try" not to have it get you down.
I hope you make a decent living, because you and your wife sure work hard.

We used our grain vac to clean up the spilled corn out of the grain leg. Normally we would be done corn harvest by mid-November
Right color tractor wrong color combine 😁

No wonder why he changed it he ain't no Queen, he's the KING LOL
What typically is the cart used for , with all of your gravity boxes?
Christmas music is a small price to pay - your smile is back because you're cutting corn, how many more acres until the music is legit?
We have been pushing hard and got 30% of our acres left to harvest...about 150 acres which is about 4 days of good running and drying.
Oh what fun is to combine corn when it's colder than all get out!!!!
Not trying to criticize but do you know your grain cart ( buggy as northern folks call it) has the tarp on the wrong side! I've only seen them roll to the auger side.

How big is your wet bin? About how many bushels per hour are you getting with the new top dry with your wetter corn this year?
Wet bin is about 7500 bushels and we're getting about 500 bushels an hour at 30% corn.
That's pretty good per hour with 30% corn...next year when it's 18-20% 😉 you'll really be moving the bushels through!
@@jtn-minn8105 I hope so!
On the 7120 did you guys turn the heater valves on?
It's a weekend and cold plus snow and your working and happy gotta be a farmer.
Just wondering buggy operator queen?🌝
Lol, Sandi's self proclaimed title
You have the heater valve turned on at the motor?
Yep, both taps are on, think it has something to do with the climate control system
Mark Brock try to take climate control off auto. Put it in manual. Might work. My CIH tractor has reverse issue heats to much won’t shut off! LOL

Hi mark great video what is your test weight on the high moisture corn, ours here in ND is light 48.5lb/bu. Thanks
Lucky enough we're able to get 52lb out of the dryer, 49 to 50lb going in wet.
You speak of multiple farms
How many acres do you fsrm?
We farm 1700 acres with an average farm size of about 70ish acres.

Farmers earn their money!
We try that's for sure.
Could you fill the overhead bins with wet corn, so the combine keeps running. Transfer to wet bin as space becomes available. Just wondering.

Have you figured out why you have no heat ??????
No, but think it's a thermostat issue with the climate control. Not horrible if the outside temperature is above 0°C
