It's so good to see farmers do these variety/breed comparisons in larger scale. We used to be a seed producer (oats and barley) and were fortunate enough to have local farmers to do comparisons. It's really limited what the research stations can do own their own fields so this really gives added value for both seed producers and farmers
Absolutely! Farmers doing these large-scale comparisons are like running real-world science experiments. Plus, it's a win-win: seed producers get great data, and farmers get to see what actually works in the field. Everyone’s a little bit of a scientist out there!
Corn prices to the farmer down. Prices to consumer up. Farmers are the only ones that pay retail prices for everything but has to sell his product for wholesale prices. Thank a farmer for every meal you eat. Nice video guys. Congrats on a good yield and good harvesting weather. Thank You!
Initiatives including waving (canceling) property taxes for farmers that own less than 1,000 acres should be put in place; this would decrease inputs and there fore help with their overhead. This must be instituted as small farmers (defined as anything less than 1,000 acres totals) will be struggling this year to turn a profit, most corn farmers are looking a $1.00 per acre loss this year, extremely tragic.
We’re at 14-15% here in Minnesota. If it’s going to town immediately we keep it at 16 or less. Great video Grant. Chasing that dream love to see it man.
We had similar issues on our 9660 with the corner post display, check for corrosion on the wiring harness pin connections in compartment by the stairs. Pull the large computer board out and unplug the large 30/40 pin connector, look in the connector at the pins for a white corrosion, scrape off with a razor blade/brush/corrosion inhibitor.
Love the video Grant! I really think you need another 4wd tractor on the farm. My personal favorite tractor of all time would be a John Deere 7810 4wd powershift. Such a handy tractor for everything in my opinion.
Its awesome to watch. Here in New Zealand we plant rye/clover straight after corn and then fatten livestock off the same ground. The animals put nutrients back into the soil and we double our income.
Absolutely love the John Deere 9560 STS! Its advanced STS technology and efficient grain separation make harvesting a breeze. Perfect for getting the job done with precision and speed. A reliable workhorse that every farmer can count on! 🌾🚜
Picking corn at 12.70% no lp bill this year. Dusty is an understatement. Very dry and dusty. Gravel roads are just powder and bumpy. For me it's a fun harvest so far, been driving truck in the boone ia area.
My uncle has a 9770 Bullet rotor, and it’s works great! We just got about a quarter of a field done today, and my Uncle says it’s his favorite combine, and he wouldn’t trade it for jack shit 😂 Love from Kentland, IN ❤️
I've been driving all over Newton County last week and again this coming week doing a pavement analysis for the county. May have seen it out in the field.
Yes, it’s pretty crazy. He looked back and all of a sudden his combine was engulfed in flames. Fortunately he knows what he’s looking for when buying equipment and he found one he liked pretty quick.
Speaking of precision planting, you mentioned one of your previous videos that you were looking to upgrade to precision I just wanted to warn you that your frame is not a very good frame for Delta force. I worked for a guy that had a 1760 and when we got into some no-till ground the frame wasn’t heavy enough and we couldn’t put enough downforce down. Just a little tidbit. Keep up the good work.
Hey grant. Are you and the crew with Spencer and Garret and the others going to do y'all's haunted and scary camp outs in farming simulator 22 this month?
what is market outlook? lows 4s per bushel? Will you wait to sell or not? What is your yield looking like? your density looks good, so I am guessing at least 185 bushels per acre
There's a few ways to look at it. While at 16% you don't pay as much drying costs you usually don't yield as many bushels as you would harvesting it at 18-22% due to phantom loss (highly debated topic). In the video, I referenced a study last year that was done across 4 hybrids and 24% was the most economical moisture to harvest and take directly to the elevator and pay dry down costs. This year the economics aren't in the studies favor as much. Will never really know unless I conduct the study on farm! Should have done it this year.
When doing the test spots Do you run the unloading auger for the exact amount of time is you did the previous test plots. Or do you just go until you think it's approximately empty? How many acres of each hybrid will combined. I saw you were taking four rows so I presume you have an eight-row planter?
Yup, I try and be as consistent as possible with unload auger. I don't have a timer set but I go until there's just a few kernels coming out. I feel I was pretty consistent throughout it. High management plot was 300ft long and low management was 319ft long. Planted with 12 row.
Bolt a chain to the combine make sure touches the ground. That way it will ground out any electric issues. Less chances of fire. Also make sure you have update fire extinguisher. We update like every 2 years
Nothing like a Saturday afternoon watching grant do corn ❤️
Haha, all you need now is some popcorn and a can of corn juice for the perfect afternoon! 🌽🍿

I agree but I personally would go with an Axial Flow 2300 series. Simpler machine and just better designs.
@@willcultra3268I agree but I like green heads.
What heads are you using?
9610 vs a 2366..
Not sure where I'd go

You’re fine to haul that one wagon with a 4020, it should pull it no problem lol
Cool video of ya corn harvesting
That truck will pull that wagon.
Farming simulator is getting crazy with these graphics!
“Grants dumping into me” 😂😂😂😂
I love beans, but I love corn more.
Just got back from a tractor ride along with my farmer friend planting wheat
We want Mr. Chow!
One grain truck would help tremendously with you traveling back an forth to the grainery
FS25 graphics lookin fire 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Speaking of combine fires Clark Farms in Indiana his caught fire this year on beans. A good reminder to have insurance.

hey Grant did you planting any wheat in your soybeans fields yet???
Nice one.#Kenya
Its most likely a relay that needs replaced thats causing the display to not work, we had the same issue with our JD 9760 and that was the issue

Should add another column on that result chart and include seed corn cost.
My grandpa owns the same combine and a Brent 744 gravity wagon
Check with ag express they may be able to fix your display rather than having to buy a new display.
You are lucky with $4 corn here in Wisconsin we have $2.50 to $3 corn
Hi Grant just wondering if there will be a update on American farming this week? Thanks
It’s corn!!!!
how is it so good weather in the us in octoberr where i live its muddy and crops drown sometime i still love my country tho
Are you taking a beating hauling in 18% corn
I know you are probably getting docked a ton
My area 16% corn is like 10 cents and goes wild from there 20% is like 80ce ts
