- Well as we think about a possible combine upgrade for 2021 we're lucky enough that Jeremy Noble from HJV Equipment came last week and offer us a demo of a new 7400 Claas combine and Geringhoff Northstar corn head. It was great to see how the combine performed and how much technology has been integrated into these modern machines.

Love finally someone that shows how corn is harvest
I am a city girl and absolutely love learning about farm life. Thank you so much for teaching me how a farm runs. I will never use this knowledge but I do enjoy learning. Love Chicago Grandma
I love you caty
I think it is awesome that Jess is taking so much interest in farm work.
Easy to see where Jess gets her speech from. She says the same thing "well yea". Hanging with Dad all the time
I am so glad you're back. Just love your family and I am a 58 year old grandma who knows squat about machines, but love your videos.
I grew up in Amish country and spent days helping hand pick corn and rocks. It is fascinating seeing all the technology available to farmers now. Good to see you back.
Nice to se you back!
Thanks from south of sweden
Good to see you Mark! Love how the angels sang when the new big green machine showed up. Lol
It's great that smile to see it new combine great 😂😂
CLAAS harvesters are good pieces of machinery. The colors are very unique but colors "don't get the grain in wagon". The tracs are awesome. Great to see you found some video time, Mark! Cheers and kindest regards!
Great to see a video from you. Very interesting to see the newer machine. My Dad is an old farmer from Alberta. He always likes to walk around the old tractors and combines at our local exhibition. Telling me about the ones they used to have and which ones he wished they had.....Cool to see the modern machines in action.
I was starting to worry you left RUclips glad you put out a video
Nice to see ur family helping out keep the kids in ag
So interesting to watch! Fun video also with the drone! Continued safe harvesting to all of the Brocks!
Long time no see Mark about time you show up I thought you were lost out.
Picture back in the 70's& 80 back then wish we had one of those 7400.
Look up what the columbines has look like back in those days they have improved a lot
You're not talking about the Massey Harris or is it the Silver Seeder , by Alice Chalmers?
The columbines what they look like back in the seventies and eighties when you did wheat corn.etc..
Ares very old school back in the 1970 and 1980.
They really mad fancy now
So.....what do u do?? Ride baby ride. So glad to see an hear u again.
Great vid👍fair comparison especially speed, grain quality, fuel usage n servicing. We CaseIH red top 8010 with 40ft front, wouldn’t mind trying Claas 8900. We hadn’t windrow our canola yet, couple weeks maybe? Yet in NSW it unfortunately some farmers have lost there crops to hail damage after 3 years of drought. Have safe harvest👍
The wait was worth it. Thanks for explaining how the class of a combine has changed from the past.
Great to see you back!! Keep them coming
Good to see you back.
This Claas is just a beautiful, effective beast!
That claas is a beast
Mark it looks like you are getting very clean product coming into your holding tank.
Awesome video Mark. Music befitting such a beast
you will love CLAAS if you end up getting one. The 7400 is a narrow body machine where as the 8000 series is a wide body at about 10 or so inches wider. They have the largest threshing and cleaning area of any machine. There is also a big difference in fuel usage, the CLAAS is great on fuel compared to other brands.
Mark.
Happy for you in that Class combine enjoy you work very hard also enjoy that lazy boy seat, hope your crop bumps over top out put per acre. Take Care Be Safe Alway's Around all Farm Equipment.
The drone footage was pretty awesome.
Great video 👍 , you do an excellent job explaining what is going on & how things happen ! Stay safe ! Bob
Very Interesting seeing something New process the Corn. ALL Equipment is Expensive. 🧐🤔👍
Amazing drone footage
Nice see you back and having fun with the demo
have to admit even Sandi was going "oh shiney" when you all 3 piled in the cab for a minute😄 but like Jess said it's too big to fit in the shop(New big doors maybe) so maybe something not so tall🤔 good to see your face after so long and I enjoy seeing the combo videos...gives the all around feel of the farm life😊
Glad to see you back Mark. It is always nice to ride a new piece of equipment. Problem is once you do it you usually want it. Hard to go back to the old on.
Loved the music with the drone footage. So satisfying watching the combine work!
How does that song go, "sweet dreams are made of these ? And something about traveling the seven seas? I like the Halloween laugh, that's the best part.
Sweet ride mark nice to see you. Hack on hear god bless you and your family sir great video
Nice corn field and great yields. I think you might miss this combine!
Demo means something totally different in my brain being a custom home builder for four decades! That thumbnail lol! Did not look like a combine in my eyes!
Oh yeah Farming Demo! 😉
At the intro I could have sworen, I saw a Halo start to form. The Drone footage music montage was spot-on. How's the saying go? "Smiling husband , happy wife , happy life." Tell Jess we'll just jack up the shopping and add another ring on the bottom. And put a light next to the camera on the unloading auger , and stick a section of 32 inch Culvert out the back of the shop.
GREAT to see you, Mark!!! Wonderful video! SUPER interesting! I find every aspect of farming fascinating! :) I'd love to know what the machinery inside the combine looks like that "separates" the corn kernels from the plant and husk! Thanks again for all you and Sandi and family do! My favorite channels!!!
Have missed your very informative videos.
Good to see you again!
Missed the vids
Great video. I have been around grain farming and combines most of my life, but went the livestock route. Your description of how the combines work was really good. It was nice to see the smile on your face. Drone footage was nice, caught the cab corn.
Thanks for taking the time to share and educate us. Very interesting
That machine runs really nice Mark. Clean field@ behind the harvest.
Mark - Great video. Enjoyed the demo footage, and the drone footage was great also. Blessings to you, Sandi, and the family.
Wow you enjoyed the green beast so much , you made a video 🥳 !
Hi Mark I’ve seen you lots on Sandis videos. She said you have you own videos to watch. I thought I’d check it out. Off course I’ve subscribed so I’ll be watching both of your videos. Keep up the good work. I’m from Hamilton New Zealand.
One farm I worked on had a claas baler, that was quite robust engineering and the owner was happy with it.
Yayyy, special treat!!
We love your videos. Thank you Mark, greatly appreciate it.
My pleasure!
Good to have you back with your videos! You were missed. The Class is a nice machine. Especially with the tracks. Brians farming videos tried a Agco Gleaner combine ( I think it was a class 7 or 8) and it was really nice. He said it was very quiet and loved how maintenance friendly it was. He also loved clean it thrashed the corn. Check it out if you have access to his videos. Please do keep making more videos.😀
Magnificent machine, thanks Mark, good to see you.
Great to see a video from you again!
Always good to see your videos 📹!
Cool video seeing this new combine working and all the new technology. Thanks for the video 👍👍👍❤️
Great video Mark! Hope you make more in future! It's nice to hear someone explain how and what an equipment does. cheers
Nice to see you Mark
Mark, nice review!
Great videos Mark...Hope to see more.
Awesome beast, we have a lot of Claas in the UK
Nice that you are vlogging again.
Good video, nice to see you back making videos
Great demo video I see a new combine for next year
Ten year gap of technology, a lot has changed.
God bless.
So good to see you back Mark and you were smiling from ear to ear. That is some bit of kit your demoing, soft spot for Class and very popular here in the UK. They are a decent workhorse and if you went with one, especially if you have good dealer support, you would not go far wrong. If you get a chance, try to demo a fendt (an ideal if your lucky), the fuel saving on Fendt combines and tractors is significant. Good to see your keeping sane during harvest and stay safe.
Hi Mark, I've really missed not seeing your videos, but understand that you have had a lot to take care of on your farm. Truly appreciate and enjoyed this video. Its amazing how different things are in those 10 years. I'm curious are you going to try out the newer Case?? I mean there's only one way to do a fair comparison and that's by driving one...lol Got my vote!! I miss being on the farm now more than ever, but sadly the person passed away and everything sold off and plowed under. I'm not in my 30s any longer so now I just have memories, which is better than nothing. Ok enough very happy to hear you once again and still find it interesting, so hope things will settle down where you can share more great videos. Till then take care, stay safe and best always Rusty in OK
Enjoy Mark! One look at Sandy’s face and I know what she’s thinking! I seen the same look on my late wife face when I came home with A semi!
You can't beat the quality of a Class, and you'll get your money back if you trade it in. Great machines.
Interesting to see the correct 'class' for your farm
grew up on a southern Alberta grain farm tractors can have many birthdays, combines only 4 or 5
Omg the heavenly music on the combine made me laugh.
Geringhof makes a nice dealer head. We have 2 35 foot true flex razor heads with air systems on the cutter bar. They hug the ground and work excellent for low podded beans .
They look like an impressive head.
Thing looks like a corn eating monster , like the tracks less compaction. And the neighbors will be talking.😆
Always interesting what new technology brings. Combines have been around for about 100 years, it's a case of continuous improvement. Nice doing things faster and better, not so sure about the dollars needed to do it though.
Who would not be tempted
Very impressive video. Maybe Cole the Corn 🌽 Star ⭐️ would want your red machine?? Thanks.
This is VERY interesting.
Thanks for sharing
Mark great to see ya back mate,Melbourne Australia here, how did your studies finish up all good I hope, now really what did you think of the tracks on the claus, is this the first time you have used a track anything. Great educational video, you haven’t lost it mate. Cheers
You have been missed! Looks like a nice machine. That was some shit eating grin you couldn't get off your face. Honestly, wasn't the angelic intro music to the Claas a little over the top? To funny! Jess is a quick study. It was good to see her going over field maps with you. Soorryy if it felt like online school Jess. Nuffield paper online? Mark don't be a stranger, you have too much to offer.
P. S. The new wilderness tent looks pretty comfy.
Good to hear from you. I would like hear aboutt your new bucket tractor
Great video
I saw Jeremy pulling his pickup truck behind the combine in the other video, I wonder how the steering works.
Nice Claas, ....... I'm color-blind 😃 so for me they are all OK ... 😉
The all terrain wheel system appears rather good. I suppose it is about interchangeable parts and price. Perhaps a Christmas special
I realized a few days ago that there has not been any drone footage during this harvest season and viola!! drone footage! Was wondering if you were running the combine AND the drone at the same time. Our boy has some serious skills especially with somebody else's equipment (chuckle, chuckle). I watched Sandi's video when the beast arrived earlier. Is the track equipment any better than wheeled equipment was a question I had. Good to see you back on the small screen and looking forward to maybe a few new ones from you with post harvest updates and maybe, just maybe some new equipment.
Stop by Wayne I put up one today with drone footage 😁
I miss seeing and hearing about the Joker
Looks like a TANK!
Sandi called it 😉
I've been catching glimpses of your progress on your wife's channel. Wondering why your corn is so wet this year,If I remember correctly your planting date was about normal. Is it from the early frost in Sept, and cool damp weather till now? We to would like to update some equipment....but the next step would involve Def engines.Ive got good friends running machines with Def they've all had Def problems....some very $$$$.$$.
Like any Business, you have to regularly Maintain your Equipment, Depreciate it and Update it. 👍
Clause has a good reputation and has been around for a long time . Germany technology
Quite the machine
Good video, you May want to demo a gleaner combine.
Interested in how you like your GSI Top Dry drying / storafe system. Is it a true continuous flow? How do you like? Decisions for doing that vs tower, counterclockwise/ NECO, shivers, or conventioal? I am a smaller corn farmer and looking to add drying % storage to the farm. Top dry seems to make sense if it can be true continuous flow so fill auger can be sized to just stay running and not need a person attending it.
Interisting music choice
Great video, and good to see you back. Is a combine on tracks more awkward to turn at the headlands? And what's it like on the road?
Does it have that ‘New Tractor’ smell?🤣🤣
Give a gleaner a try. Simple and efficient, short too.
What about soil compaction with tracks vs duals?
Nicks farm have one in england dont know if its the same model but they do a review on might be worth a look
This brand new machine did the dealer give you any idea what the loss was out the back as far as percentage-wise goes
