The Fugitive is an outstanding film. Their complaint about the woman picking up a stranger actually has an explanation: that character was introduced as a waitress in an earlier, deleted scene, so they had already met.
I love discovering episodes like this because when I was a kid all I wanted to see was The Fugitive but now that I’m older I wanna see all of those other films!
Today movie reviewers do their reviews before the movie opens. Back in the day, S&E would review movies already out. Here they say two movies have yet to be released ("the movie opens in two weeks" and "it opens next week") and another is in limited release ("it's making its way around the country slowly now"). Maybe this is the transition.
Coppola did a great job on 'The Secret Garden' that it's hard not to like. Not to slight the Director or other members but the production is absolutely beautiful
I must admit, I was a fan of Robert Townsends HBO specials in the 80s and I ran out to see Meteor Man opening weekend. The theater was empty and I’ll never forget I only laughed once. Coincidentally, they showed the clip! He’s grading papers in an empty class room, they cut to a close up and then he’s surrounded. Other than that, it was a very good natured and sweet concept but it just didn’t deliver. I miss Townsend. He was a very creative and charismatic guy but I never saw him after Meteor Man.
He does but in a way, he never leaves New York. I think that's why I can't stand him. I am not a New York person. I don't know why I still live here. I see it as a pit of narcissism.

It still is an Excellent Movie and the Special effects still hold up

I really enjoyed The Secret Garden. It wasn't what I thought it was going to be. It doesn't talk down to children.
Love that Ebert spoiled a movie and they didn’t bother doing a retake.
I had the privilege of interviewing Robert Townsend; he is so humble and down to earth!
The Fugitive is a classic! I also like The Wedding Banquet. 💑

It's pretty corny. Maybe really young children would enjoy it.
Meteor Man was one of the earliest superhero films of the 90s where African-American actor starring in.
Well at least it was better than Blankman.
@@vincentwilliams5271 Agreed. And I actually met the director of Blankman. He was a really nice guy!

You wouldn’t put an Atari 2600 on top of a TV. The wires from the joy sticks would get in the way of the screen.
I said that in comments to another video! Also, 1993 is the time of the SNES I think.
Do Woody Allen ever make movies outside of NY??

I am sorry but I do not understand the love of Woody Allen. I can take the guy in small doses but that's it.
Ned Flanders said it best: “I like his movies, except there’s that nervous fella that’s always in them.”
I agree. That whole whiney man child thing grates on me.
