- This is a video dedicated to the badass that is Queen Ravenna. Played by the ever so lovely Charlize Theron, Ravenna is not only the fairest in all the land but also one of the most deliciously evil villains out there.

Ravenna is truly a villain like no other
Theron's portrayal of the famously cold and vain tyrant being in truth a wounded and broken-hearted girl, a girl you can look at and say "that is me", or "that COULD be me", is nothing less than perfection
Ravenna's character is one that opens one's eyes into the hearts of people like her that we encounter every day, reminding us that people are not monsters, but they can be forced to act like one
What you said is SO TRUE and took me years to figure out. I encountered such a person. A coworker put it as her goal to get me fired without me having done anything to her. 8 years have passed and I have no idea why she did it. I was just placed to sit in the cubicle next to her. I was very depressed because I lost a family member so I was in my own world trying to focus on work and never really interacted with her and thought there was no problems between us. When I got a raise and signed a new contract, she heard me talking about it on the phone and she became a total monster. Out of the blue I was fired 6 hours after I got my raise... My producers said that she stormed into their office crying and claimed I threatened her life and safety.. OMG! I asked for a meeting & investigation to resolve these false allegations and she was nowhere to be found. When my producers let her go 1 year after I was gone she worked at a studio where the HR director was a friend of mine. He asked her if those allegations she made about me in her previous job were true. Well, she responded that they were false and the other studio producers made it all up. Psychopaths and sociopaths are the same. Psychopaths are born but sociopaths are made by their upbringing. Charlize Theron makes you root for the villain.
For once I wanted evil to win. Why couldn't Ravenna win, she was the only great thing about this movie! Charlize was flawless in this role.

At the end of winters war (the prequel and sequel to this movie) Snow White is shown as queen (timelapse after the first movie ended) standing on the balcony crowned queen. Then a golden raven appears and lands next to her. As the gold represents the mirror and the ravens being used by Ravenna to change forms in the first movie I believe it had to mean that Ravenna after the mirror gets destroyed in the second movie goes to Snow White in that raven form to posess her and rule trough her body. William said in the second movie where Snow White is only mentioned but plays no role that she had seemed strange almost possessed by something. So I believe in the end in a way Ravenna would have won.
I love Charlize Theron! You know something is wrong with the casting when the Evil Queen is more beautiful, powerful, and better than Snow White and you're cheering for her to win rather than the good guys. Then again, i don't really know if anyone can rival Theron she's just too awesome!

The Queen deserved to win. Screw Snow White! The Queen had reason, motive and control. She had climbed from nothing after nearly being destroyed by her mother's murder. Then she gained power. I did though almost cry when she died. Charlize Theoron, you were amazing in your acting and really defined the Evil Queen. You were flawless.

I hate it when they create a powerful, terrifying, intelligent villain, and then give them a moment of sheer stupidity.
Yes, she thought Sleeping Beauty (or was it Snow White, the way she was played, it could have been either) was about to die, but still. If she hadn't told her her one weakness, she would have won. Snow would never had thought to challenge her single handedly, and no one else could have beaten her.
Anyway, Ravenna was the best thing about this movie, phenomenal job

This movie would be one of my all time favorites if they had Charlize Theron as the lead actress and not whatever her name is. I like how they gave the Queen a backstory and told her side a bit so it would've been awesome if they just completely said "eff Snow White, Ravenna is boss". Kind of like the Maleficent with Angelina Jolie, but not messing it up by making her out to be good instead of bad like they did with Maleficent -.- that was really lame.

Ravenna was the only good thing about this film, thanks to Charlize... Everything else was just plain stupid. Also why do they insist on throwing Stewart into stupid love triangles.. is it supposed to be a reflection on her own personal cheating life or something?

Believe or not, these A-list actresses love the ham factor that comes with playing fairy tale villains. Plus, they get to command people to do their bidding onscreen and wear badass clothing. What's not to like?

PS Who ever designed Ravenna (and her siblings) apparently knew very well about Battle Realms PC game 2000 - cuz her appearance, powers & ideals are identical to those of the Lotus clan from the game. Even the soundtrack sounds very similar

OH MY, the BEsT scene i have ever seen was 01:22 the words were just perfect, and the way she stood up & been hit by the huntsman then she vanished... it was an EXTREME PERFECTION THOUGH.
Ravenna's role could be only played by Charlize Therone, sharon stone, or Michelle Pfiffer. a verry successful choice for Charlize. Bravo

Thanks! For a first time video editor, I would suggest toying with Windows Movie Maker. It's free for Windows users and you could pick up on the basics using that. I'm actually using Cyberlink Powerdirector since it's the only video editing program I have lying around the house. Sony Vegas is a pretty popular one if you wanna give that a shot. As for whether or not it's easy, it all depends on what you're going for. I'm a total amateur but I'm free to answer any questions you might have lol.
I hope that Charlize Theron plays Lanfear or another one of The Forsaken in the new Wheel of Time TV show.

Queen Ravenna is cruel and Evil, starving for power yet she is a very tragic figure to feel sorry for. Maleficent is a tragic figure as well but the True Loves Kiss made proved that she is not vengeful and Evil at all, yet both figures along with Evil Queen Regina once upon a time are very attractive in their own unique way and the trauma that lies behind their loves when they were younger.

Great editing. Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna rocks. I watched this film about 7 times and bought it in 3D. I'm glad this film had a sequel but Ravenna appears half way through the movie and Emily Blunt is the main character. Ravenna is a badass and Kristen Stewart as Snow white just so weak and emotionless...
