Is it just me or does Kristen Stewart look like a badass as a princess in royal armor bearing a shield and wielding a sword with her hair in a warrior’s braid?
people bitching about the tactics need to learn to listen...that castle's only entrance is protected by the tide. the only time to hit the castle is during low tide. so they had to take the castle before the tide came back in...not to mention the approach is wide open to any number of weapons...and sand makes it impossible to move siege weapons. So that is why they do a cavalry charge...with the knowledge that they have men inside the castle to raise the gates, allowing entrance so they aren't stuck at the wall, getting shit on from above.
Honestly, my only question tactically is why Snow White is wearing full plate yet leaving her head completely exposed? I get it, for a movie you want to be able to see the hero's face, etc.
This is my favourite from the live-action wave caused by Alice in Wonderland. It's dark, depressive, exciting and despite the not-too-difficult script it has a good tempo. Personally I can't remember a damn scene from for example Alice in Wonderland (except for Johnny Depp's albino appearancexdd). I don't understand why several people judges it because it stars KrIsTeN StEwArT, who cares if she was in twilight. This is Snow White and The Huntsman...
well, when you look into it, they only had that option, if they wanted to win: It would be stupid for them to lay siege on severel points. They don't have enough manpower for that + I don't think the Witch with magical powers would let them just stay outside. Their best option would be, as they did. Time it, with them riding there full-speed while the dwarves infiltrates & opens the gate for them. ¨ To me in the situation, this tactic is really the right one. Lay siege would be stupid. Especially lay siege to a castle of that size, with catapults & high walls, with pretty damn good viewpoints. What they are doing is not "a siege", its a surprise cavalry attack, where they bet that the dwarves have opened the gates, so they can just ride in.
Even if this huge gamble worked out, castles of that size have more than just one gate. You can clearly see at least two, maybe three gatehouses in the outside shot, and three rings of walls around the keep. So that would make at least four gates to go through. As a defender, you could probably hold off such a silly attack with but a dozen people inside.
Kristen Stewart is like Snow White and Joan Of Arc together. By how she is a princess, in armor, leading an army assault on a on castle, while riding on a horse, and hasn't had much experiences with sword fighting.
Weak snow white: eat apple die being kiss and live happy The original snow white: put body armour and set of war equipment with horse charge towards enemy while tie her hair back😏😏😏😏😏😏😏
2:30 This part always stuck with me as I found it absolutely hilarious that this guy was unhorsed, lived and is now screaming as the spray crashes around him hahahahaha Aaaaaaaaaaah 😂
I was hoping this clip was uploaded somewhere on RUclips only to comment that I feel sorry for the horses. Especially the ones in real life that has to endure such dangers and yet keep going, without being in a frenzy and possibly drop their rider. Just read this morning that they are extremely sensitive to sound and can easily panic.
One thing is clear. Movies usually do not follow reality. Perfect examples include Home Alone and Home Alone 2. Many of the traps Harry and Marv fell into were lethal and would have dealt them serious injuries or even death.
Well a siege would not have worked with a evil queen capable of unleashing powerful magic. All she had to do is sling magic from the walls at the good guys and the seigers would have been bombarded with no way to retaliate.
“Who will ride with me? Who will be my brother?!”
I never thought I'd ever see a princess in a battle.
Why is that?

Say what you will about the movie but the cinematography is well better than the second one

Castle like that on Jersey. The idea is if you lose the island you can still retain a foothold to bide time til reinforcements could arrive.
Just drop a nuke

Kristen Stewart is very suitable for such roles. Brutal, but at the same time gentle warriors. I hope she appears in another dark fantasy
Using cavalry in a siege gotta love Hollywood tactics
i mean, it worked
The real question is where did all of their horses go as soon as they got inside the gate...

Also @Darkwing their horses were still there... but a bunch of extra footmen spawned after capturing the control point. :D
Easily my second favourite scene from this movie.
Please, more of Kirsten acting as a badass knight. She delivered it so good, in my opinion

Because she is a woman. She knows everything by nature. The scene is even worse when yoh think that she does not use any kind of helmet.
So she gonna get betrayed by her own and burned at the stake ? Lol
@@alissonlares2926 That was a statemet not a question.
The war between King's Army and Evil Queen's Army

And one that only takes the outer ring, at best.

Well edited, thanks for the scene.
The look in her Eyes
I wonder what became the fate of the queen's soldiers once they were defeated?
Surrendered! Executed or Joined Snow White's army. After all they are just townsfolk who need a job.
Up until renaissance (basically gunpowder era) the garrison of a stormed castle would be lucky to be spared.
4:14 Wow Snow White is Strong 💪🏻
4:26 💪🏻
John Snow? Where. Is. John. Snowwwww!
I came for one moment and one moment only:
"WILLIAM!"

Decent, underrated film but yeah Kristen Stewart was not the right choice
She is so good at fighting for the throne
The Battle of Winterfell=This
What are these red banners of in this castle?
How did they made those guys small?

But prefer Snow White 2024, Rachel Zegler.

Not going to lie this was a stupid battle plan and realistically would have backfired easily

It was the only way . . . Can’t lay siege on a beach when you’re enemy has magic powers
