I still think it’s less expensive to just fire the entire MTA board there saved like 2 billion…..

Why isn’t it managed by the Mayor or Governor. No need to hire others!

Its not about congestion, its just another way to steal people's money.

The traffics will congest/pollute other boroughs (excuses). They will come up a new plan to set congestion pricing onto other boroughs. If the corrupted politicians want money (fund), they will increase the taxes (to support their pocket), Can the congestion funding guaranteed to improve the transportations (10 years w/o improvement)? I doubt it.
What they need is to improve transportation's safety/traffic flow (robbed 3x- crimes at all time high)
As a Queens resident, hard to take public Transporation, no bus/subway nearby (drive to nearest bus stop).
Is hurting business owner, low income (bad economy). It doesn't make any sense. People support it are the rich and clueless people.

Congestion Pricing is supplementing fare-beaters. The MTA does not have the backbone to stand up and resolve this problem.

So what about those that hop on and off the bus as well, nothing is really being done about date beaters, until you all take strict policy and support the drivers and punish the fare beaters

  • @TM-zt9jt

It took me an hour to drive 7 blocks on the first day of this mess.
Don't be fooled. The timing of this was the most important for these officials, from announcing it when traffic is at its worst in midtown, during the holiday season, to implementing it after all the new year's celebrations ended and tourists have left the city - this makes it seem like the plan has immediate affects.
The city, for some reason, ignores the true cause of congestion in the city. To find out what that is, you have to go back to when this was an issue decades ago, and the cause was the yellow cabs.
Fast forward, after negotiations with the city to limit the number of yellow cabs on the street, ride-sharing companies step in, dumping a new generation of cabs onto the city streets...more than doubling the amount set by the city for the yellow cabs.
Ride-share companies give insane incentives to their drivers to operate in the city. This is why this plan will not change a thing for congestion. Any reports saying otherwise would be false.

Soul here's the scam. In August the fares are going up. Later on, MTA will claim that since less cars are coming into the Congestion Pricing zone, they didn't make the revenue they projected. And the fares and tolls will go up again.

The reason for congestion pricing is because people don’t pay their fare so now we need to pay to make up for the loss.

The answer is Yes ,it is reducing traffic I drive in Manhattan everyday and I could get into Manhattan in Monday in record time this is inseen in a Monday morning,I totally agree with congestion price I believe they should never reduce the price because I am afraid that in no time the unwanted crazy drivers in midtown Manhattan will return.

Obviously today had no traffic moron, holiday break is still in effect for some and not everyone has returned to work/school. Its not going to reduce traffic, it's going to create traffic in other areas that never had major traffic issues or did and now just exacerbate it. Can't stand people like you who are clueless to the negative effects of this forced tax on the people.

I want to tell everyone about someone amazing. His name is Jesus. He loves us so much. First Corinthians 15:3-7 tells us that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead. He did this so that we may be able to enter Heaven through him. All you have to do is put your faith and trust in him, accept him as Lord and savior, and follow him. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son that whosever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life” God is so good. God bless

Your right solve 😢, should have solve the fare beating before charging the customers more and extorting civilians to drive.very bad idea lady,it's just interesting to see how the democrats redesign Manhattan changing 4 lane streets into 2 lane. 2 lane streets into 1 lane .right turns only and left turn only ,8 ft flowers pots in the lane, couldn't these be placed on the sidewalk ? Why was it impossible for right turns on red to be permitted 😢? Why can't a lane be straight and turns ? 😢 just so you can get a ticket?😢 go check yourself. 😂😂😂
