Shelled Cluster Stitch | How to Crochet

- If you are looking for a crochet stitch for a lighter weight blanket - perhaps a gift for baby - this Shelled Cluster Stitch is beautiful! I love the texture and the weight of this crochet stitch. It is very pretty and similar on both sides. The fabric is solid but with beautiful drape and not as dense as some of the other cluster stitch patterns.

For this tutorial I will be using a little bit of Basic Stitch Anti-Piling yarn by Lion Brand and a 5 mm (H/8) Crochet Hook.

*** QUESTION: I've been looking thru your Crochet patterns and trying to choose a good stitch for a blanket for a man, using Scarfie yarn. Obviously, not a lacey and or feminine pattern. Or something too thin or too thick. The Scarfie changes colors but I'd rather NOT COLOR CORRECT my piece. Do you have any ideas that would be good??? Thank you!

@DaisyMaybee1723 I couldn't find it on this channel. But I found it on other channels. I was looking for lots of texture. I'll swatch it and see how it looks. Thank you for the suggestion. I've already swatched 8 stitches so far. And 2 I really like.
I have been working up random swatches of different stitches and squares to cobble together in a sampler granny square blanket. At this rate about half of it will be your stitches 😅
