I had not made anything geeky for this Christmas, so here is something honoring my favorite show: Doctor Who! This ornament is a shaker and features the T.A.R.D.I.S. from Doctor Who.
Materials:
clear plastic ornament that comes apart
glitter is colors of choice. I went with a medium blue and a white.
star and crescent shaped glitters
focal point of choice. (I am using a repurposed plastic T.A.R.D.I.S. and a pine tree from a Christmas village set.)
craft glue
model-making glue that dries clear and will not fog up clear plastic
Static Guard
kitchen paper (paper towels)
hot glue gun and glue sticks
you may also need: craft scissors
wire cutters
fabric scissors
lighter

LOVE YOUR VIDEO!! You can also use a dryer Bounce fabric sheet and wipe down inside the globe to cut down on static. Me a newbie here, music is nice but tone it down a bit. toodles debs from Texas

Because of this vidio, I have used static guard on everything plastic i use for craft and cards. . It makes life a lot easier.

Cat Cain the TARDIS was broken off of a book light. My kid accidentally dropped it and the light broke but the TARDIS just popped off. I figured I could repurpose it. I'd suggest getting one of those necklaces that are super cheap. They come from China. Anyhow, I'd use that if I were to do this again. Thanks for spending your time with me!

I'm not sure where you are in the world but perhaps there is a shop that sells the basic craft stuff, like glue and glitter. You can use a tiny twig off a tree and paper leaves to make a tree. Actually, I think I will make another one using the very basics of crafting supplies. What do you think? Would that be helpful?

Music is too loud and too fast. Love Dr Who in our family. Need to find a dozen phone booths.
I am sorry the music volume was too loud and the video too fast. You can actually control the speed and slow it down. The settings icon has a tab with playback speed. Choose a speed that is a fraction of the normal. Say .25x or .5x. That will make the video go slower. Hope that helps! Tfw!

Dianne Coy it was broken off a little book light. I don't recommend getting the book light to do this project but there's a link to a TARDIS pendant that will give the same effect. I'm not sure what metal is in it so I'd be wary of wearing it, truth be told. 😊

This one measures 4 inches, 5 cm, in diameter. I found mine at Hobby Lobby but Amazon has them, too. Tfw!

Just wondering could I use glitter glue for the background instead of glueing glitter to it?
Well since glitter glue are usually translucent with glitter and a clear pigment, the background would be see-through. You wanted to be nicely covered to that it looks like it's own world.

This particular TARDIS was from a broken booklight. I made a second ornament using a pendant found on Ali Express. I don't recommend wearing the necklace, as it may contain lead but for this project it's perfect. Hope that helps!

I got most of the materials at my local hobby/craft shop. The little TARDIS was a figurine on a book lamp that got broken. I repurposed it. There is a link for pendants that can work for this. Leslie Denise Huey I believe you can get similar products at the Dollar Store but the TARDIS and this exact ornament I do not think so. The ornament was very inexpensive and at Hobby Lobby. The TARDIS was from a book light that my daughter broke. There's a link to a pendant that will give the same effect. It's made out of an unknown metal so I'd be wary wearing it, though.

You might want to consider the pendant. I do not know what metal these are made from, so wearing one might be a bit dicey. But you could use it in one of these snowglobe ornaments. Here's a link:
