The lock on my Audi 100 C4 is positioned like this Audi A4. To unhook the cable, do you just need to unscrew the lock and bring it close enough? Thanks

What is the part number for the cable? Is it a dealer item only? My driver side door cable snapped.

Unfortunately you will need to remove the door panel to access the latch to open the door.
