- Our stay at Maroela Satellite Camp in the Kruger National Park was a delightful experience. After a short drive from Tamboti Tented Camp, we found ourselves in the picturesque campsite of Maroela, surrounded by large trees providing ample shade along the Timbavati River. The day was filled with exciting game viewing, including the thrill of spotting a tortoise for the first time on this trip through the Park, which made Sonia particularly happy. As always, we made sure the tortoise crossed the road safely before moving on. Witnessing playful lions in the riverbed and others of their pride at a nearby zebra kill added to the day's highlights. Although rain prevented us once again from having a braai, our evening was still splendid with a wonderful dinner, prepared in the communal kitchen. Despite a minor inconvenience of a leaking mattress, we slept soundly and overall our time at Maroela was a fantastic and memorable experience. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #travelongravel #krugernationalpark #maroela #tamboti

Birmingham pride lionesses. 😍🥰 I have enjoyed the Satara, Orpen, and area videos immensely. This is my absolute favorite area of Kruger.
Totally amazing!
Another beautiful treat for me to see all that beauty those trees were so so beautiful, the tortoise such lovely stripes and the rest of the animals amazing. I just loved to hear the rain bird as you walked through the camp . Thank you.
Hi guys another awesome video as always totally real elephant drinking water lions feeding. When you mentioned about lions growling in the night it's a noise I remember you can actually feel it in your belly!!! Well you will always remember camping losing your charger and a puncher in the mattress but this is what memories are made of. I'm sitting on my settee grazing Wagoo biltong driving around the Kruger Park. My daughter's friend is in the Kruger Park at the moment and sent photos two warthogs sleeping under their patio only in South Africa thanks for taking me along cheerio till the next one
Bumper video and a very happy birthday to you Curtis. May it be a joyous year for you and Sonia. You can't get away from the rain and your tent...lol
I can hear you two are as relaxed as those lionesses. The bush does that to a person. Soul peace. Ok I'm at the gate hey...toot toot 🐘🦓🦁🦒🦏 the birds are awesome thanks for spotting them ❤
Thank you! 🥳 You know we'll be there to pick you up, so you better be ready! 🚙😁

It was a wonderful experience for me at Maroela with you.
Ok thanx for this again....enjoying travelling with you and Sonia, but I will be back again in maybe 15days time as I am off to my favourite camping spot on the Westcoast again....
What a fantastic way to start the new year! I'm so glad your shoulder has recovered sufficiently for you to be able to camp again! Enjoy every moment and travel safe! 🚙⛺🌊
Beautiful big cats.
Hi you two! Many many thanks for this video. The close-ups, especially the one of the giraffe's ears, but also of the birdlife, really are unique, not to mention the lionesses rolling in their sleep! I'm ready as always to enjoy the next trip with you.
Keep safe!
I'm so glad you also enjoy the little things which bring us so much joy! 🦒😍 Oh, and I hope you had a super time in our beautiful hometown! 😁
Awesome video as always. Thank you for sharing. Never stayed at Maroela but love Tamboti as well as Orpen. Wonderful sightings of the Birmingham lion pride at the Orpen water hole, including some white lions. Fun fact: lions turn on their backs with legs up in the air to assist with digesting their food. Looking forward to your next camp. My favourites have always been Lower Sabie and Croc Bridge. Safe travels.
You will always get a thumbs up from me.❤
The wildlife loved the rain, for the most part. Some birdies didn't look too pleased though! 😁🐦🌧
We have seen the Shimangwaneni dan full like you saw it and virtually empty. Mostly mud. But both times saw many animals there. Also Mudzanzeni is our favourite picnic site. Been there many times.
Loved the kitties. What surprised me is the lack of Springboks on this trip 🤔
No springboks in camp unless eben is visiting
Seriously kruger never had springbuck. Dont know why.
Love the little bushbuck. Birthday? So are you also a december baby, Curtis? Happy birthday, may it be an amazing year ahead for you. The tortoise is definitely a highlight for me. I was waiting for one
Yup, I'm indeed a December baby. 🥳 I'm happy we could finally show you a tortoise! 🐢
@@DustBugsTravel Me too. 28th
Hello are you back from kruger yet? Such a beautiful place
Regards Sylvia
Yes, sadly. 😞 We've been back for just over three weeks already, but still miss the magic of Kruger so much.
@@DustBugsTravel I so agree with you. We were there in October of 2023 and I just miss the magic of the kruger where one just forgets about everything and enjoy the bush and animals. We have managed to go for the last three or four years at different times. Such a wonderful time. Nothing like it.
