Thank you Richard for this lovely video you have made with so much love toward the animals and birds of the veld of the Great Kruger Park. I loved all the wildlife; from the little wildcat, the birds, the leopards, lions, snake, buffalo, redbuck, snake, baboons, serval, elephant, badger to the giraffe. Your photography is clear and lovely. Thank you for taking us on this wonderful trip.😄
My husband is 75 years old. We live in South Africa, and he's never been to Kruger National Park. What you've shown us through these KNP videos is beautiful. Thank you.
Richard, we lived in RSA, Eswatini and Mozambique for a period of about 30 years before retiring and returning to the USA. We made Kruger our only holiday destination from all three countries and totally love the place. We stumbled upon your videos and immediately fell in love with them. Your videos of Kruger make us feel like we are back there as we see so many of the places that we loved visiting, especially in the Satara area. Watching your videos as you cruise up the H1-4 brings back so many good memories. And we love the fact that you always give us the names of the birds that you see and film. We also like the quiet background music you add to your films. They add rather than distract from what we are seeing. Thank you so very much for your excellent work. We'll keep watching for any new videos you post.
Great video, great editing and such great sightings! That Honey Badger with baby is just amazing. Also, to have 2 leopards just sit in the road like that, a dream. I don't go to Satara nearly often enough. I tend to go to Skukuza only. Definitely need to give Satara another try.
Young man, you are a very talented photographer and your comments are very relevant. We are South African and just love Kruger but live closer to Cape Town now so we don't get around to the Kruger National Park much now. Thank you for taking us there. Looooved this video and felt like we were there. Already subscribed and will certainly watch your videos many more times. Even much better than what SABC is offering currently. 🤩🤩🤩
Also, I love that you name the animals so clearly and quietly and every time they show you name it and also you’re such a absolutely harmonious feeling couple
You must have done something very good 😊to have such great viewing ! Once again grateful thanks for labelling all the birds , it makes all the difference to this hard of hearing old woman , love it .
The birds were gorgeous! They are largely overlooked in favor of bigger animals, so it's a pleasure to see them. They have such a wonderful variety of colors; seemingly more than other places/videos I've seen. I'm so grateful for your interest in sharing them, and I've never been a "bird person." 😀
Wonderful, thank you so much Richard. Your gentle commentary and superb cinematography are always such a treat. I like the very low key music. I would prefer no music at all to be able to enjoy the sounds of the bush but you have created a great balance. Thank you for labelling the birds. We are trying to learn them before our first Kruger trip next April! Favourite bit was the leopard slowly walking along the road in the mist and morning sun- Heaven! And the honey badger. Greetings from the UK!
Thank you so much Melanie! I really do appreciate the insightful comment the feedback is really so valuable to me! Enjoy your trip to the park, April is a great time of year to visit! That leopard in the mist was really something special, I was so fortunate to experience that!
Thank you very, very much for this amazing video. The families of several animals were among my favorites: were those baboons? And the badger with its baby: what a thrill! The whole thing is thrilling. I am so lucky I found this video. I shall never have the chance to visit there, so your video is the only way I can witness such things. Thank you. It is profoundly moving to see the group of elephants moving through the land. Thank you dear young man.
Thank you so much!!! We really enjoyed being educated and the experience of watching the animals in a relaxed setting. The Leopard was our favorite. The whole program was very special!!! Keep up the amazing work!!! 🙏🏼 Love the fact that climate change was not mentioned!!! 👏👏👏
Fabulous video. Beautifully put together. It's difficult to choose a favourite but the badger was certainly the most unexpected sighting. The snake crossing the road was of special interest, I thought an African python but changed my mind. I loved every sighting and every moment of the video. 😊
hi I have never been to Kruger and I enjoyed every minute as you give such good commentary. The birds were so amazing as I'm a bird lover. Old in body Bur young at heart. Big Thank you so much Richard.👍👋
18:28. African Wild dogs or Hyenas? Stunning video. I felt like i was riding along. MANY THANKS!!! Saw hyena later on...Ok Wild dogs. Thanks for putting on screen animal names.... fun to i.d. them! All of the cats, and yes the male leopard was stunning. Interesting genealogy with video of his ancestor... Just an unbelievable trip with many animals sighted. Wonderful screenshots for me, too. Always been a dream to get to Eastern Africa for a photo safari. With a recorder for the sounds. They are magic to me... what a peaceful video...great editing, too! Just WOW!!! SIGH. ❤
Great video man! Transported right back to the Kruger, the leopard sightings were amazing and seeing Casper was a real treat. Can’t wait for the next one. I also love the way you present the footage with as much natural sound as possible, makes it great for watching.
What a enjoyment to view your sightings and hear your peaceful commentary and music. Thank you. I love that you show the bird names ... enjoy your trips in Kruger National Park.
What a superb video. Excellent in every respect. I love the use of music. It is never intrusive but highlights the emotion. I loved the Honey Badger and cub, the serval is actually my favorite animal. I have only ever seen them on night drives. You have a very special gift. Thank you.
🌍🌺🌎Yes I too love how you discretely identify the birds/animals for us🌿💐🌿the very soft music here and there is perfect, not too much, great work thank you🌏🌺🌿
Well done Richard. Beautiful sightings. I thought the tawny eagle and the elephant was special especially when I noticed the injury on his trunk and the water squirting out the side. The honey badger was special. I love the S147 and your leopard and small cats were also great. The burchells coucal sighting also showed its strong feet and toes that makes it such a successful predator.
Thanks for sharing Richard - thoroughly enjoyed the Kruger through your eyes 👍 - favourite sighting Badger with pup - favourite camp Letaba with the view over the river 😍
I don’t remember seeing wild African - “kitty” cats so much like my domestic short haired house cats - before. Loved this whole video. It is the best whole animal video in the park I’ve seen.
Excellent video, and commentary. I appreciate the balanced enthusiasm for both animals and birds, it keeps the experience rich. It's uncanny how our family had a similar sighting (June 2024) of badger with baby (anyone willing to guess or ell us what a baby badger is termed?). I have been to Kruger as a child and adult and not yet seen a serval, so that was my favourite scene! I'm reminded what a additional dimensions video gives, over photos. Moving pictures with audio; feels like I was almost there, and hungry to visit the bush soon!
Thanks a lot for your great comment! Owls and other birds species are some of my favourite things about Kruger! It’s a cub. Glad you enjoyed! Thanks again!
Very pleasantly presented, and some great footage. Ratel and baby was special. I love the smaller birds as well. Thanks for a Kruger Millions feast. Time to go back.
There were so many, The Puffadder, Baboon Spider, Honey Badger, Leopard, Casper, ahh, simply everything. I love everything in Nature and can't really pick, Serval, African Wild Cat, Brown Headed Parrots a. , i love them all
Hi Richard , just subscribed to your channel. I think your narration and photography is excellent. Thank you. The best was the Ratel with the baby. Amazing 🤩 .
Thank you so much Richard for sharing your incredible video❤ Can't say there was one part as my favourite as I loved the entire video. I'm a South African and am currently living in Germany 😊 Watching your video makes feel feel a proud South African as our country os soooo beautiful and we have to much to offer this crazy world we live in. Thank you once again for sharing apart of South Africa with me❤ Regards Lara Gallagher ❤ xxx
Absolutely beautiful photography and narrative. Even the names of the different birds and animals was valid information. I felt like I was sitting next to you cruising through Kruger National Park! Thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful visit to Kruger, Richard. I have only been twice but had fantastic sightings both times. I we had a leopard crossing the road in front of us and then walking within a few feet of us, pausing to look at us and then continuing. We also had a close encounter with Duke, the old elephant with the huge tusks. BUT your sighting of the honey badger and cub was really awesome, as were your leopards, lions and multitudinous birds. Your editing is great and the music is quite relaxing.
What a Beautiful world GOD has let us use but most has been damaged in one human form or another, but Africa for the most part still has big gems to see. Let’s keep her with most of her jewelry. The wild animals !
What eventful sightings you had. Thanks for taking us on the trip with you. It gave me such a yearning desire to be back in the Park again. Satara used to be my favourite camp but my daughter didn't like it and the rondawels weren't too clean, but now my favourite is Shingdwedzi. Thanks once again for the shared trip.
Thank you so much for the great comment! Thank you for watching! The park is an unbelievable place, I am fortunate to be able to share these experiences! I love Shingwedzi and the Kanniedood road out the back gate! The sightings at Shing have never been up to the same standards as those which I have had at Satara. However I know that everyone has different experiences and that’s all part of it! Thanks again for watching and for the comment!
Loved your insight and production quality on this piece. Brought back wonderful memories. Great to have detail on the birds and beautiful footage of all the wildlife. Good luck with your channel.
Wonderful video. Used to visit Kruger every year for about 20 or more years. Miss it terribly as now older & live in the karoo. Always camped & loved it. Thanks for the memories & also for naming the birds. One forgets as u get older❤
We have been to KNP 25 times and my last bucket list is the 26th time. Satara is the best for cats,Olifants for beauty, Letaba for river viewing, Crocodile bridge for cats, monkeys. Elephants and rhino are my favourite. You had a wonderful trip.
We absolutely take this gem for granted... I worked on projects inside the park and have some wonderful scary memories, that I will cherish...the post rain smell of the bush...adult elephants behaving like children in the dam...and walking into Buffalo...Maybe mention a few trees like the Jackle-berry...still the best sight is the leopard...great video thanks
Richard what a fabulous video. We moved to Sweden 9 years ago. Satara was one of my favourite camps when we lived in South Africa. You have a lovely way of filming your unique spottings. Thank you.
Thank you for an amazing time felt like I was there... a weekend chilling in the Kruger for real 😅 so many fantastic animals 😍 what an cool life you have... 😎🤗
Always love the painted/hunting dogs. Amazed by the poor honey badger's poor pup being bounced about by its impatient (?) mother. The barred owlet call surprised me, sounding quite dove-like. Elephant squirting the raptor. Lots to delight.
Absolutely Amazing, I landed in your channel by chance. I look after a 94 year old lady with Dementia, she enjoys videos about wildlife and nature. I was looking for something to watch and your channel pop out. She couldn't take her eyes off the screen the all time. I really enjoyed how relaxed the video was . I have Africa in my heart as I lived very close to the Cruger National Park for so many years. I wish you all the best for your channel and we will subscribe. Greetings from London.
Thank for this amazing video , Richard . Your voice is clear and easy on the ear . I thought your music was well chosen , relaxing and slightly soporific, but didn’t detract from the images . It’s hard to choose which sighting I enjoyed the most , but the leopard in the mist is a top contender . I loved the birds and the clear identification, and particularly enjoyed the close up of the African barred owlet calling . The civet was fantastic , and the honey badger with the pup also just incredible. We are going to KNP in November and will spend time at Olifants ( S147 every day I’m sure !) . We need to decide between Shingwedzi and Satara, this video might help me to make up my mind 😂
Thank you so much! I really appreciate all the feedback! Two very different camps it depends what sort of experience you are after! But Satara is definitely my favourite!
Hey Richard! I live in Joburg and am heading to the Kruger at the end of the month. Watching your videos has made me so keen as well as educating me about the park and all the wildlife it boasts. I think my family and I will have a much better chance at sightings now I've learnt some things from you. Keep it up your content is amazing!
I love the Kruger park, we used to live 1 km away from the Phalaborwa gate, 36 years we lived there. Now 11 years in Jeffreysbay, but I so much miss the Kruger Park. I used to drive in at least 3 times a week, driving to Letaba and Olifants camp. Enjoy your stay and driving around looking at all the beautiful animals!
Wow Richard! Well presented and beautifully videoed!! Thank you for sharing your video with us!! Amazing sightings of our Creator God's absolutely stunning wildlife. Sadly I haven't been able to visit Kruger in years, but as I watched, I felt as though I was right there with you. Thanks again.
I must Admit that l couldn't make up my mind about the Honey Badger carrying her little one and the Lioness pulling her cub out of the Tree - had a Chuckle watching her - looked like she was telling Cubby that that was high enough, come down now ! Thanks for that relaxing Trip shared while watching.
Great video Richard! You had it all in this trip, but that honey badger sighting was the best!
Thank you so much Leon! I got very lucky with these sightings, thanks for watching! Really enjoy your videos too!
@RichardvanHaght Thanks, appreciate it! Those are some awesome sightings. Maybe that Motion mount is the lucky charm😜

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your great comment!
Thank you for an amazing time felt like I was there... a weekend chilling in the Kruger for real 😅 so many fantastic animals 😍 what an cool life you have... 😎🤗
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always love the painted/hunting dogs. Amazed by the poor honey badger's poor pup being bounced about by its impatient (?) mother. The barred owlet call surprised me, sounding quite dove-like. Elephant squirting the raptor. Lots to delight.
Thank you for the great comment I am glad you enjoyed the video!
Honey badger was the most beautiful filming. You have great talent
Thanks so much Alan!
Thank you for your comment! That is unbelievably special. Please tell her I say thank you for watching! Thank you again!
So enjoyed the video. All of it! Thank you. Grateful we found you. All subscribed up. Thanks again for what you do.
Awesome! Thank you!
I really enjoyed the video. From the animals to your subtle commentary and background music, it was excellent. Thank you .
Thank you very much!
What a gem video excellent videography, God bless you and/or other capturing Gods creation in all its glory, just brilliant work
Thanks for watching and for the great comment!
Thanks for watching and enjoying the video!
I felt transported back to Satara. Like so many my favourite restaurants camp.
Your filming is superb. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Aqil! I appreciate the kind comment! Enjoy your time in the park, you will have many special experiences!
Incredible video. Thanks for sharing, that honey badger sighting was epic.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fabulous video, loved the honey badger with pup. Now living in Malaysia I really miss Knp so videos like yours keep my heart happy. Thank you.
Glad I could bring the Kruger to you!
Thank you!
My first ‘trip’ was you. Thanks so much for taking us along! I’m struck by the familiarity of the birds that are so similar to ours in North America.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching that is very interesting!
Thank you for watching and for joining me on the adventure. There is more to come!
Thank you so much those moments were very special!
