In the early 80’s I saw a production of Becket at the Castle.
My roommates and I would hike to the castle routinely when I was a student at the Y.
I worked the Haunted Castle back in the 90s my foster mom worked as a RT recreational Therapist for the hospital. Its sad that it got misrepresented and shut down, everyone really seemed to love doing it.
I was an RT there for 6 years. The patients LOVED working in the Haunted Castle. It was not demeaning. It made too much money and was shut down.

I remember the rumors. People were excited to go to the haunted house because it was so unique. It's a shame it was closed.
It was the Works Progress Administration, not the Works IN Progress administration. There may have been plenty to merit ridicule in the New Deal overall, but that was a time when Americans knew how to FINISH projects.
Forget to mention the medieval recreationists, did ya? The ones who go up every year and play war on the castle’s lawn?
