This is what prosperity gospel has brought us to, name it and claim it foolishness has given people the idea that God is a genie...He is NOT! We are here to serve Him, He doesn't owe us anything. We are to remember that rain falls on the just snd unjust. No one is exempt from difficulty. ❤❤❤

We are not here to serve some fake sky daddy. We are spiritual beings living a human existence, when did this invisible god tell you. That you are here to serve him ? Please don’t say it’s in a man made book that created that god.

I truly hope that whatever hurt you is healed. If you can admit that every thing you know was written in a book, not sure how you can claim to know much at all. Be blessed

      2 Corinthians 4:4
      English Standard Version
4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Please may I ask if you listened to the video in completion and absorbed what was said? Whilst this comment is theologically correct, this completely misses the point of the video and is quite tone deaf. This seems to me the sort of well-meaning but insensitive application of scripture which Scott rightly observed isn't always helpful. I greatly appreciated the conversation itself for its authenticity and I believe many, Christians and otherwise, will find much empathy and dare I say something restorative. I thank God for J3P and the spiritually mature, intelligent and nuanced approach to the mystery that is this Christian Faith walk. I thus feel it dishonours the struggle to reel off what is an unintentionally sanctimonious response to Scott's painfully candid interview.

So sad how we have been bamboozles by Colonized Christianity and Hipper-Christians. This masculine name for a Deity is misrepresented by Religious Theological leaders and their presentation of The Bible playbook is downright criminal. The English word "G-D" did not even exist before 500 BCE. Look it up and think about what we have been told and taught, and by whom.

'...though he slay me, yet will I trust him' The ABC's of the gospel is salvation and not that we will always be shielded from the sorrow and grief in this wicked world. I know what it's like to lose someone you love and to struggle with faith. Thank you for courage to share. I know it will comfort others as it did me. I too will hold on to my daddy's hand, to God's unchanging hand... 🙏

Real talk and we all have to find our way. My mother passed from breast cancer too and she was not saved until that happened. Tears were coming down hearing his pain and him talking about his love for his mother. I pray God to continue to bless him with the truth.

Thank you for the transparency. It’s very sobering to pray the hardest you ever prayed for someone to survive and they still pass anyway. I decided to hold onto my faith so that I can see my family members again. After the loss, I found myself not wanting to pray out loud in front of people anymore. I just rather pray by myself.

Losing a mother, the way we did is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Your story meant a lot to me. Thankful for your honesty and this series is vital for the church to begin wrestling with this topic. Excited for the book coming out and this upcoming conference.

The bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written down by eyewitness during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They reported supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claimed that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.
That is just ONE reason why i believe ❤❤❤❤
